We just returned from an overnight stay in Czestochowa. We booked 3 rroms through Expedia, which advertised the Mercure Patria hotel "with complimentary breakfast.".
The hotel adamantly refused to honor the complimentary breakfast, even when I showed them the caption of complimentary breadfast on the the Expedia site. Apparently Expedia sent them a confirmation with no mention of breakfast included. Someone screwed up....was it Expedia, or was it the hotel? Who knows, but we, the customers lost out....The hotel served breakfast but wanted to charge us about $15C per person!
Otherwise the hotel was okay. Clean and in a good location.

This is a pretty standard Mercure hotel. Everything worked: the water was hot, the sheets clean, the towels nicely folded. Somewhat to my surprise, there was even an ashtray, and a discernible whiff of smoke from long ago. Although the hotel was full, I was allocated a quiet room on request.
Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Hot drinks were served eventually, but guests resorted to moving dirty crockery and locating missing cutlery themselves. Simple problem was too few staff for the number of guests both in restaurant and at reception.
There are some good points of note: wi-fi was free and worked well; reception happily looked after bags for the day, and the location is very good for the monastery and its park (so nice for an early morning stroll) and walking distance from everywhere.

I was in Czestochowa in April exploring some of my family's heritage from generations past. The Mercure is one of the better rated hotels in the city. The rooms are very basic and the amenities are also basic. This is very much a functional hotel -- basic beds, basic bathroom. The one strange thing in the bathroom is that the toilet was positioned so close to the wall that you almost had to sit on it sideways. Very bizarre layout.

The room was clean and there was a small fridge in the room. You have to pay for internet (24 hour pass was $11 USD or 29PLN).

Not a bad place to stay if you want a clean basic accomodation. I doubt there's much better in this city.

Stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very good breakfast. though for that length of stay could do with variation. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location near to Jasna Gora and convenient to shopping areas. 15 minute walk to railway station and 5 minutes to tram line. Overall very good stay but a little bit more expensive than usual hotels in Poland
