This hotel has the worst service I have ever encountered, although over a period of about 15 years I have stayed in many different hotels around the world, ranging from IBIS and other one- or two-star places, through five-star and better hotels (SAS Radisson, Ritz-Carlton, Waldorf Astoria).
The staff is absolutely clueless. Questions such as "what time is breakfast" or "is there air conditioning in the room" are definitely too difficult for them. On the second day of our stay we did not receive bath-sized towels in our room after it was cleaned. We requested that these be brought to our room - we were told that they had run out of bath-sized towels (!!) and that they would not be available till the following day (!!). We had to use hand towels that day and the following morning!
Breakfast is till 11 a.m., but if you arrive any time after 10 a.m. the staff is already cleaning up - vacuuming around your table, wiping down tables (including spraying disinfectant 50 cm from your food).
The hotel provides no towels for use in the hotel pool, and the pool is open to everyone, including people from outside the hotel.
If you use the free tea or soap offered in the room, they will most likely not be replaced unless you ask a few times. The same applies to clean cups or glasses (the cleaning staff just leaves the dirty ones behind). The sheets have not been changed so far, and we have been here for three nights already. I don't think they will be changed at all during our stay (one week), as there is no information regarding sheet changes on the bedside table or in the room. There is no air-conditioning in the room, even though the staff claims there is.
Maybe I wouldn't mind all this if this was not a 4-star hotel!! I do think though that for this amount of money you should be treated differently. I have honestly never encountered such incompetence in ANY hotel.
