“Loved the romantic Savic Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We loved the beautiful Savic Hotel in Prague. The location is perfect; just around the corner from the Old Town square (gorgeous Christmas market and stunning gothic Church of Tyn) and a short walk to the Charles Bridge (Karluv most). Our family stayed in rooms 207 and 208 for 4 nights in mid December '11. The rooms are very spacious and have huge double glazed french windows opening to the little street below. The Queen room had a lovely four poster bed. It was extremely comfortable. The bathrooms, with shower over the bath, were luxurious and spacious. The rooms have mini fridges, very good sized televisions (CNN & BBC World).
A Nespresso machine (not great for making tea!) is also provided. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast selections varied and delicious.
When you visit the hilltop Palace and St Vitus Cathedral it is an easy walk across Charles Bridge then continue on the same road, Mostecka, to Malostranske Namesti (a square in the vicinity of the front of St Nicholas Church). Here you can catch a tram up to the Palace complex (need to buy a daily transport ticket from a Tabak shop first). The view over Prague from the hill where the palace complex is situated is stunning.
If you need a taxi ask the hotel to call their taxi drivers as they are much cheaper. Also if you need to go to the main station to purchase train tickets in advance go during the day and walk back as a taxi from outside the station at night was very expensive.
Train from Prague to Salzburg (change at Linz) was a great experience.

Room Tip: We stayed in rooms 207 and 208. One was a very spacious queen room and the other a smaller, but stil...

“Another beautiful stay in our favourite hotel”

This hotel is our all-time favourite and as a result we have visited it over 7 times. Beautifully and stylishly decorated in the heart of the beautiful city of Prague. Every time we go it feels like going home. Quiet, romantic and relaxing accomodation which is spotlessly clean. Wonderful, helpful and informative staff. Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Great value. The owners of this hotel know exactly what they are doing and create the perfect atmosphere for a holiday.
Also try their sister restaurant, The Indian Jewel - authentic and tasty Indian food and an amazingly atmospheric restaurant. The manager Dipu is charming and friendly - you could not ask for anyone to be more helpful. Good value, too.
We cannot wait to return to The Savic and to eat at The Indian Jewel. Thank you for another lovely holiday!!!

Room Tip: Never had a bad room yet...they are all individual and unique

“All you could want”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, it's location, the rooms, breakfast and the beds are so comfy!

We opted for a Superior Room where there are original 14th Century paintings on the ceiling and beams, although what we had originally asked for was the attic room, we didn't complain and just mentioned it on check-out. Staff were apologetic and assured us that if we had wanted to change rooms upon arrival, they'd have been happy to move us.

Breakfast is wonderful, a whole host of goodies including champagne and eggs or pancakes to order.

We didn't eat at the restaurant as we have our old favourites in Prague (U Maleho Glena) near to the Castle and ate there on two of the three evenings.

The hotel deserves its place on the Trip Advisor rankings and for the price the hotel (if not just for its location) is worth the money.

If we head back to Prague, this will be a hotel we'll definitely look to book.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms with the painted ceilings.

“Stunning hotel, stunning service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

what a beautiful, old hotel, much more charming than many 5 star hotels right in the centre of the old town. The reception staff were lovely and helpful, welcome drink on arrival. Breakfast was in a lovely atrium full of plants with sparkling wine on offer - always a good thing, and a good spread. We were upgraded to the executive suite from standard which was a huge, very impressive room with frescos for the first night, then moved to a superior room for the second in the eaves of the hotel, a beautiful room and i'd recommend it (you have to walk one flight of stairs). L'occitane toiletries, the only negative i can think of was no free water in the room which is a small price to pay - looks just as good as in the photos

Room Tip: go for a superior room in the eaves

“Perfect location and Amazing Unique Hotel”

What a great hotel. So unique and lots of great, small touches. We had a Junior suite and we loved the room! Clean, modern bathroom and a spacious room. Great breakfast in the morning and helpful staff. The girls that work the front desk were awesome! So helpful with everything! We couldn't beleive what a great location the hotel was in. Literally steps from everything we wanted to see.
