We've just returned from a four day trip and we were so pleased that we're already planning to head back.

It was our first time in Prague and we had considered booking a luxury hotel at a reduced rate but instead opted for City 5. Within five minutes of our arrival we were sure we had made the right choice. We availed of the taxi service offered by the hotel and were taken from the airport to the front door by a lovely driver who was polite and friendly.

Kristina greeted us on arrival and was so helpful. She sat us down and gave us a blow by blow guide to the city, circling all of the sights that we should see. They didn't disappoint. We fell in love with the city and with the hotel.

The room was lovely, very well furnished and had all the amenities we could have asked for. The bed was clean and comfortable and their was little or no noise. The hotel was conveniently located close to a shopping centre with a large Tesco store. The Andel metro was no more than five minutes walk away and we walked to the city centre in less than 20 minutes.

We absolutely loved everything about our trip. It was very cold but we knew we had a nice warm room to come home to each and every evening so it was well worth spending the day out and about in the beautiful city.

Kristina the host at Aparthotel is truly an angel. She is welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, generous and (most important of all) makes great coffee and toasted sandwiches!
Nothing is ever too much trouble to her and she couldn't have made our stay more comfortable - we wanted for nothing. She not only has a wealth of relevant information about Prague but she is multi-lingual and has a wonderful sense of humour - she definitely enriched our whole holiday experience.
Everything else about the hotel was perfect as well.

My wife and I were able to only spend one night (January 11, 2012). Kristina, one of the owners, spent as much time with us as if we were there for a week. She welcomed us most graciously, having arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport and sweep us into Prague. Then she laid out a one night and morning walking tour - we took her advice and crammed into 18 hours some wonderful sightseeing. We ended the night at the pub two doors up from the hotel, (http://uziznivehojelena.cz/eng/index.php) and had a great meal and some beers. Of course, this was a Kristina recommendation!
If you stay here, do plan on walking; it is located on the other side of the river from Old Town. We love to walk, so location was not a problem. And, frankly, Prague is a tourist destination, so NOT being in old town is a relief.
We'll be back.

Good location, clean rooms and very helpful staff, make sure you don't miss the great breakfast :)
