“A Very Memorable Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I am a jewelry designer and often use Czech glass beads, so I was so happy to see that Eva Trkalova Prague Private Tours offered - BEAD TOUR to NORTHERN BOHEMIA. Our tour guide, Hana, and a driver, met us at our hotel at 9:00 in the morning. We travelled for about 2 hours into the countryside. I enjoyed the views, but i also really enjoyed talking to Hana about life in the Czech Republic. Our first stop was at the small farm with a bead factory. We enjoyed watching how beads are made, faceted, polished etc. and then I was able to shop! We then went to another bead factory but weren't able to see how they are made, but were able to shop. We stopped for lunch. How wonderful it was to have our personal guide and translator. I've never done anything like this before and it was really great. After lunch it was up to me what to do. I loved the flexibility I had on this tour. We could sight see, or look for more beads... I really wanted to shop for Czech beads, so we went to a town and went to 3 more shops. It has been so fun to make jewelry with these special beads I found in the countryside of the Czech republic...Thank you Hana for a truly memorable day!

“Very Informative Tour of Josefov with Jana”

My sister and I visited Prague in November and had booked a with Eva Trklova tours to visit the Josefov - Jewish Town and Old Town, There were some travel difficulties, and with short notice Eva rescheduled our tour to accommodate a missed flight.

We were fortunate to have Jana as our guide. She met us outside our apartment, and began the walking tour with a focus on the Jewish history of Prague and the Czech Republic. She was very well-versed on Jewish customs and culture, and explained the history, what life was like, and the impact of the German occupation. We visited four synagogues, each of which had its own character and importance. We wound up this part of the tour at the old Jewish cemetery.

We then continued to the Old Town, including the Old Town Square, the Powder Gate, the Municipal Building, the Estates Theater and Wenceslas Square. Again, Jana shared her knowledge, along with a glimpse of her youth under the Communist regime.

We would and will recommend Jana highly as a guide, and Eva Trkalova's organization.

“Highly Recommend - The Best Tour Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

My husband and I toured with Olga Kourova and can't imagine experiencing Prague and the Czech Republic any other way. We toured with Olga for 4 half days in Prague and then in the Czech Republic for 3 days with Olga with car and driver. Olga made our visit to the Czech Republic very memorable. We had a wonderful time! She was a terrific guide! We enjoyed every moment of our tours because of her knowledge, charming and delightful personality, professionalism, passion for her country's heritage and attention to historic detail that she provided during the seven days we toured with her. The four half day walking tours provided a perfect balance for our vacation to spend leisurely afternoons exploring Prague on our own. And the three day trips to Cesky Krumlov, Karlstejn and Kutna Hora were very enjoyable, incredibly interesting and beautiful, and Peter was the perfect friendly, safe and courteous driver. Olga paced our tours perfectly and we really appreciated that she shared personal insights and experiences of her life in Prague. I also very much appreciated that she found and brought us to the site of the painting on my great, great grandmother’s fan from Prague. It was very special for me to experience a view into my family’s past in Prague. I will always be grateful to Olga for being so thoughtful and caring to bring us to the painting site.

We feel so fortunate to have met Olga through Eva Trkalova Prague Private Tours. Thank you again Olga for providing us with such a memorable trip. We hope to see you again the next time we visit the Czech Republic and definitely recommend your services to all that visit Prague.

I highly recommend you use the guide services of Olga - we saw and experienced so many different things that would have been missed if it were not for Olga. She is a true professional and made our trip fun and memorable. We can't wait to return!

“The only way to really see and experience prague from a local's perspective”

Eva and her tour an absolute delight. Don't be tempted to do 'free group tours' often run by visiting backpackers with groups sizes upwards to 20 people, opt for a personalised private tour wth a born and bred local!

Eva's comprehensive details of dates of significance, the history of Prague, the culture and the people is what makes a city alive and more than just pretty buildings.

The traditional Czech lunch ina little local restaurant was a real highlight & delicious.

Allow a whole day (7-8 hrs) or you will be disappointed with anything less.

“A walking tour with Eva Trkalova, one of Prague's true gems!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

Having seen it, I believe Prague is the most beautiful city in the world. A complex city, a city difficult to navigate on your own, Prague is filled with incredible views, history, culture, legends and architecture.

I also believe there is absolutely no better way to see Prague than with the assistance of a professional private tour guide like Eva. After researching many private and agency tour guide websites six months before I travelled, Eva's was clearly at the top of the list. As a result, I booked Eva for two full days of walking tours. She met me at my hotel on day one, outlined a plan of attack and off off we went. Eva was always professional, well organized, flexible, suggests places to visit on your own, points out the tourist traps, gives advice on dining out and attending musical performance and given her delightful personality I felt like I had a new friend showing me where she lives. She is just so knowledgeable about all aspects of Prague. Eva loves architecture, especially Baroque architecture and Prague is filled with it.

There is so much to see and hear about and there is always something new and exciting around the next corner.

Both days had obviously been well planned and it didn't take long until I began to feel the same enthusiasm and excitement Eva has for a city she loves so very much.

Thank You Eva for a wonderful two days.
