The hotel is set on the picturesque cobbled Novy Svet, literally around the corner from Prague castle. It's by no means anything fancy, but I can never justify spending lavish rates on accomodation. Our room was lovely and spacious, with a very rustic feel including chimney breasts and stand alone wardrobes. Prague city as a whole is walkable, and very enjoyable to walk through. We went in January and had the hotel to ourselves for the majority of the stay. It only has about four or five rooms. Breakfast every morning was quite nice as continental breakfasts go. I gave up long ago on my crusade to get cooked breakfasts in Europe. They just don't do it. We got meats, eggs, bread, cheeses, yogurts, and tea and coffee made for us each morning, with no curfew on the breakfast. You are really left to yourself in this hotel, which displays a certain amount of trust in the customer. I for one appreciate this. For example, guests are given the keys to the door of the place. Although we didn't really stay out beyond 2am any night it was nice to have the option. To add to all these positive points, it only cost us 70 euro pp for 4 nights accomodation. I have never stayed somewhere so nice at such little expense. I fell in love the city on my trip there and will always be nostalgic of the place we stayed whilst there.
