I stayed at Pension Danny for only one night. It was a true bargain. The room was basic but comfortable, and they brought breakfast to the room at the time I specified. It's in a great location, with a laundromat next door at the neighboring pension, as well as the shuttle to Linz. I would definitely stay there again.

We spent three nights at Pension Danny in July 2008. The room was large and somewhat rustic (we really liked the old wagon). It was quiet for the most part (except for a very late-night screamer who had to have been totally drunk) and was very well located. We had the breakfast which may have been a mistake -- there are many place to get breakfast nearby and there was an additional charge for the food that we were not expecting. This may have been a failure of our Czech -- the hostess asked when we wanted breakfast and we said 8:30; compliance with the charges may have been assumed. Be sure this is clear when you check in.

Agree with other positive reviews. This pension might rate a five, except...
1. although the location is near ideal, you do get the occasional car or delivery truck blaring through (daytime only).
2. breakfast is a bit spartan: they skimp a little on the butter and jam. when eggs are served, salt and pepper is available by special request. coffee is a thermos pitcher of hot water and Nescafe

My sister and I stayed at this pension for two nights last week. We stayed at a small room with private bathroom and two separate beds. Even though it was small, it wa all we needed. Breakfast was served in the room in the morning according to your request. If you'll be checking out early in the morning, they'll prepare sandwiches for you. It's located very close to the Castle and a post office is nearby. Eggenberg brewery and restaurant is about 3-5 min walk. I enjoyed staying here.
