“Beautiful Little Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

This hotel was booked after reading good reviews on TripAdvisor and all 3 couples were not disappointed. Cesky Krumlov is a beautiful small town with quaint, stunningly beautiful houses which are typically small as is Hotel Villa Conti. However, what it lacks in size is certainly made up with character, charm and style. This hotel has been tastefully designed to offer good quality rooms with an excellent breakfast each morning. We advised the hotel that it was our friends 50th and 55th birthday and they kindly gave them a fantastic room with a Queen size 4-poster bed. We travelled from Prague to Cesky Krumlov by train which was a great wat to get there.

“Great B&B with very helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2011

Stayed here for 2 nights. Great little B&B. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, they recommended some great restaurants to dine in as it can be hit and miss in Cesky Krumlov. Simple rooms, but clean, tidy and spacious. Breakfast included and they cooked eggs how we liked them for us every morning. Location is perfect, very close to castle and old town square. I would definitely recommend Hotel Villa Conti.

“Fairytale Hotel in a Fairytail Town.”

My wife and I stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon in Sept 2010, and I can not praise this hotel highly enough.

If you have never been to Cesky Krumlov in the first place, then please, please put it at the TOP of your list. It is the prettiest town you will ever visit!

The Hotel Villa Conti was converted into a boutique hotel in the late 80s I think, and what an incredible job they have done. We had one of the suites for our stay, so were pampering ourselves a little.

Our room was so very beautiful, with a huge four poster bed in the middle, wardrobe, antique dressing table, stool, sideboard, large Sony LCD TV and DVD player, sofa, coffee table and two lounge chairs in. A huge bathroom, beautifully tiled was on-suite.

The Breakfast room is on the ground floor with vaulted ceiling and access to a small terrace over looking the neighbour's private orchard.

Martina, whilst serving as the receptionist, seems to be able to run the hotel single handed. She has worked there for many years and is worth her weight in gold. She can not do enough for the guests and was never fazed by all the questions we kept firing at her both before the trip and during our stay.

If she is ever head-hunted by another hotel, I think a lot of guests who have stayed at The Villa Conti will follow her there!

Breakfast, whilst not winning any awards for originality or design, was generous and the perfect way to set ones self up for the day.

The hotel does not serve as a restaurant, but there are SO many extremely good ones in Cesky Krumlov within ten minutes walk, that you would never try all of them in a stay of many months. Again Martina was more then happy to recommend a few tailored to our wishes, and boy was she spot on with her recommendations.

Overall. Cesky Krumlov is a MUST HAVE place to visit and the Hotel Villa Conti a MUST HAVE place to stay.

“The most beautiful room I´ve ever seen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2010

This hotel has all the things you need to know to have a romantic stay: Well located, confortable, nice bathrooms, but amaizing beautiful romantic-historic environment in the rooms. Matha is not just a very nice person as efficient and kind.

If I come back to Cesky Krumlov, I will stay there!

“Spacious Rooms in a Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2009

We were a bit hesitant about booking the Villa Conti because of the lack of reviews. It LOOKED like a nice property, and the prices were much better than the other nice hotels in town, so we went for it.

I'm glad we did, because it was a true hidden gem. It was still one of the most expensive hotels of our trip--pricier than the big cities--but that's apparently what has happened since Krumlov was "discovered". The location made it pretty good value for money despite that price tag. Our room was in the annex, which is basically across the "street" (small cobblestone lane) from the hotel. Both the annex and the hotel are right in the center of Krumlov, steps from all the major attractions. It was a great home base for seeing the town.

The room itself was huge--by far the biggest room we had in 2 weeks in Europe. It was clear that in the building's original life it had been several rooms, which now have been made into a bar/sitting area and the bathroom (divided into a shower/sink in one room and a toilet/sink in the other). It was beautifully furnished, and the bed was quite comfortable.

Our only complaint is so minor it's barely worth a mention--the TV in the room only got 2 channels. Of course, watching TV in Europe was not a big priority--but Krumlov doesn't have a lot of night time activities, especially since we were there at the end of the season, so we were in our room a bit earlier in the evening.

Breakfast was a nice spread. We stayed mostly in B&Bs, so the atmosphere here was a bit more like a traditional hotel--buffet style food, individual tables, minimal (but good) service. We were offered cooked-to-order eggs one morning, but not the other. The hotel seemed equally busy both days, so I'm not sure what the difference was. The buffet had the typical central European spread--cheese, meat, yogurt, hard boiled eggs (they disappeared fast and weren't always refilled), bread, cereal.

Overall, if we returned to Cesky Krumlov we would stay here again. Of course, I think we saw most of what the town had to offer in our 2 days, so on our next trip to the area we will likely visit someplace new.
