I am shocked by this review - and struggling to believe we're even discussing the same property?

My husband and I stayed in Villa Pensata for a week at the end of September/beginning of October 2008, which was about a month after Rustybird visited, and we loved it.

We found the villa spacious, comfortable and clean and the pool was a bonus especially as the cost of hire was lowered in case the weather wasn’t good enough for us to use it.

We did have a problem with no hot water on the day we arrived, but even at 8pm on a Saturday night, the e-ccommodation.com team we there more or less as soon as it was reported and the problem resolved within a couple of hours.

My husband and I had a great holiday in Mas Fumats where we stayed in a lovely villa, met some lovely people and ate some fantastic food, courtesy of the nearby restaurant which, fortunately, was very close to the lovely villa. We were able to chill out, which is what we both needed.

It is a holiday we will remember for a long time and we definitely hope to go back again - and stay at Villa Pensata.

We booked this villa via "www.e-ccommodation.com" website for ourselves and 2 friends.

It looked very impressive on the website, sleeping 10 people and very 'fresh'. The reality was a nightmare 'house of horrors' - tired, grubby and rundown, built almost in the back yard of the 'Balkan Grill' bar next door, we had trouble finding 4 outdoor chairs to sit on which weren't broken. The closer we looked the worse it got:
Filthy blood stained, old mattresses, not fit to sleep a dog. Peeling, dirty paint. Stained upholstery. Holes in plasterwork Stinking (drains) basement area Dirty floors Dark, dank cell-like lower bedrooms Unkempt garden area Ancient patio furniture, most broken and unusable. Two only(!) ancient and badly broken wooden sun ‘loungers’
In addition, the surrounding area: Villa overlooking adjacent bar back yard, with ventilation extractor vents/flues etc Surrounding neighbouring properties generally neglected and giving a poor rundown impression Entering the front door which supported 3 massive locks gave the impression that the area was not going to be of a safe environment.

Needless to say we declined to stay and went in search of alternative accommodation without delay. Avoid at all costs!!
