First off Lech is by far the worst ski resort i have ever been too so if you are thinking of going there i would reconsider, the runs are badly laid out resulting in a lot of flat and uphil bits in runs etc. Not sure how it got a reputation for being so luxurious and exclusive, aside from the decorative empty champagne bottle at most bars there was nothing about the resort which implied exclusivity.
- First off i though the staff were perfect, just the right balance between professional and friendly.
- Food was pretty great, i'd say im a fussy eater and every night there was something on the menu i enjoyed even if it wasnt something i was ever consider ordering in a restaurant.
- afternoon tea and cakes is a genius idea, the cakes were gorgeous.
-If traveling with children the seperate dinner times probably wont appeal to you (what are you supposed to do with the kids while your eating) but the staff were very accomodating and set us up a table in the lounge area.
The problem with the hotel, and the reason i wouldnt recomend it is its condition. Four star HA. it wasnt in bad condition as such but it was all incredibly outdated, and had these hideous tapestries on the walls as well as stuffed animals (which i quite liked actually but i imagine many wouldn't) The accomodation was very very basic, not what you expect from a four star, horrible patterned carpets etc. The light fixture in my room (one of those fake candelabra type things) was skewif etcetc.
I wouldnt warn anyone away from the Alexandra , i had a good time there, the quiz on friday night was great for example, but i would suggest you stay in a totally different resort tbh.
Oh and there practically blacks, those that are shouldnt be, and the blues were in places very steep , there were a few reds easier than blues etcetc.
