Great staff in fact the properties best asset ; comfortable rooms though bathrooms tight squeeze. If long stay always ask for a room with a view and not overlooking other balconies ; not what one travels long distances for. This was disappointing as was never given the opportunity/options of spending more for a much improved view.
Food excellent though after a long stay again not huge variety of cuisine ; this is the same throughout the village of Lech : all menus are very similar and don't offer much cuisine outside of Austrian and basic Italian menus.
Very expensive ; credit cards only with pin number accepted and Diners not accepted at all. Amex rarely. Hotel Gotthard has no coffee/tea making facilities which was a negative ; if you wanted a coffee/tea before reception clocks on in the morning forget it. We had to purchase a kettle at the local supermarket so we could have a cup of tea when we wanted it and how we wanted it. Also no laundry facilities for long stays which gets expensive. Most television chanels though huge choice are for the most part in Austrian ; only a couple of channels that were English speaking.
