I stayed he on recommendation from a friend and was blown away by the friendly, modern and relaxing vibe of the place. Picked up upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and owners of whom are the most helpful I've met on my travels. The hostel has only been open for a couple of weeks and the place was kitted out with the latest appliances and furnishings. The owners have put everything into building the "dream hostel" and you really won't want to leave here and Noosa because it is so charming. Still in its infancy I can see Flashpackers quickly becoming the 1* Hostel in the area because everybody we spoke to is passing on the good word. A stay here will show you that there are good value for money places in OZ!

You have to stay at this hostel, its is by far the best hostel that we have stayed in our travels yet ( this includes China, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore). This hostel was just amazing, wonderful owners Warick and Jo that just welcomed you in from the get go we arrived on Friday just in time for their weekly "Sausage Sizzle". Bedrooms were spacious and the showers were glorious. The common room area is filled with leather couches and a big tv. Big spacious, mod con kitchen, I can say nothing bad about this hostel, I cannot even think of one little thing, stay there you wont regret it.

FlashpackersNoosa was my first experience at a hostel, and a fantastic surprise. My kids tell me this is not the usual hostel, but significantly more upscale. A new facility, with finishing touches being completed, but there was no impingement on guests. Everything was spotless, the beds comfortable, and the room quiet [except for the kookaburra morning wake up call at 0630]. The decor was zen-like, and the kitchen area had a wonderful set-up for meal prep by guests. There is an extensive dvd library for the great room, as most of the guests are rather tired after a day surfing. I enjoyed watching all of the twenty-something work their way around the kitchen and other guests.
Johanna and Warrick Redwood- the owners- clearly enjoy people, and have found great joy in this operation. Their children [8,12,16] intermingle freely with guests, and there is a couple on-site as managers/trouble shooters. All are great sources of information about the Noosa area and the east coast of Australia. One of the guests had a birthday, and the Redwood's baked a cake and handed out champagne to celebrate. Nice TLC.
My spouse, 20-year-old daughter and I stayed in a en suite set-up. One room had a king bed, the other 4 bunks. The rate was $150/night for our set-up. There are other rooms for two people, I believe, and several that have a total of 6. I overheard some of the dorm guests registering at a rate of $25/night.
Any time I am in Noosa, this is where I will be staying.
