“So warm and friendly it felt like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

This B&B is so warm and comfortable with such friendly hosts it felt like home. Located just outside the buzz of Noosa in a uniquely tranquil environment. The wildlife is stunning, a diverse array of native birds literally eat out of your hand while wallabies lazily observe from the shade of eucalyptus trees. The accomodation is very relaxing with all the comforts of home. Delicious food with anything you desire served. Highly recommended if you're in the area for a relaxing weekend to get away from it all.

“Wonderful location and warm and welcoming host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

Applegarth is everything that previous guests have said and more. We too enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the verandah in the company of the birds and were priveleged to watch the wallabies grazing in the garden in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the shower room good. In addition our host was extremely welcoming and provided a lot of information on what to do locally as well as some good personal recommendations of where to eat. In spite of some earlier comments the B&B is easy to find and well located being just 10 minutes from Noosaville.

Room Tip: Currently there is just one room.

“Magic is an overworked word but this place is truly magical”

I have never before eaten my breakfast while a few feet away , Wallabies doze and graze on the lawn below the balcony, and the owners were busy hand feeding a wide variety of birds, including Kookaburras, magpies and Lorikeets.

As to the house itself , all I can say is a lot of far more pretensious places could learn a great deal from this place. A comfortable bed en-suit rooms and air conditioning with dvd player and I pod dock and Wi Fi as well as a fridge laden with soft drinks and biuscuits that comes gratis as part of the service. Just a few of the many helpful and thoughful things the owners provide as standard.

The breakfast menu has I think more than thirty possible selections, and is served on the balcony at a time of your choosing. The standard of cooking and prepartation is very high, Steve and Margaret use as many local products as they can in the food they serve and that couple with a good eye for detail make the food truly excellent.

With Noosa only a few minutes away and helpfull and very polite owners who cannot do enough for the guests and the wildlife that is more than part of the experience this place is really magical. Book while you can this place will not remain a secret for long

“It is unique.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2011

This is not your typical B&B. It has one room for rent which is attached to the owners house and has an outside entrance. There is no lobby or other common area inside the house to lounge in. The room is very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best we had in Australia, not counting the buffet at the Adelaide Hilton. Breakfast and tea are taken on the verandah, in the company of a surprising number of wild, tropical birds. Wallabies may be eating grass on the lawn.
The downside is that Applegarth is 15 minutes from Noosaville, more from Noosa, and the drive back in the dark after dinner can be tricky. We would probably choose to stay in one of the towns if we went there again.

“No worries, mate!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2011

If you are looking for a real Aussie experience: beautiful Queenslander house nestled in the bush, relaxed Aussie hosts and 'Rocky' the local kangoroo hopping through the garden, then visit Applegarth. My daughter and I had the most relaxing two days there. Comfortable and homely facilities and just a short drive to the attractions of Noosa. We'll certainly be going back when next in Aus!
