Family of 5 stayed here for two nights on the way home from Perth. Had a family room, a queen bed and two permanent singles plus a comfortable portable bed. The decor is pure 70,s brown tiles flowery brown curtains and bedspreads etc but it was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. The cost was about half of the price for an equivalent family room in South hedland. Still relatively expensive as is the case in many mining towns but not unreasonable.
We were travelling with our dog and they allowed her to be tied outside the unit.
The hotel is right across from the fore shore which has a great park and at low tide the reef is amazing for a walk although wear some footwear as we saw a few blue ring octopus.
We went to the restaurant both nights and the food was very good and the service also. The risotto was the best I have ever had. It was expensive but that is just the way it is in the north west.
Overall if you have to stay in Hedland this would be the place to stay.
