We recently booked The Rocks Albany for my husband's 40th birthday party. We had decided to have a murder mystery party and thought The Rocks would be the perfect place to have it and we weren't disappointed! Noelene was a wonderful host and even helped us choose a game and sort out all the extras that were needed for the night.
Throughout the evening we used different rooms for different rounds of the game and enjoyed a delicious meal in the formal dining room which was laid out beautifully. The atmosphere on the night was perfect and all the guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I can't thank Noelene enough for all her efforts to make sure the night was just what we wanted.

This five star b and b was perfect. The old mansion is restored to the highest standard with a taste and elegance that is truly impressive. If you love old houses this one is sure to charm. We had a gorgeous room with stunning views over the town and harbour and the run of the house. Our biggest problem was choosing which beautiful space to spend our time in; a glass of champas playing games in the billiard room , a quiet read in the library, a tinkle on the grand piano in the music room etc etc? Gorgeous views are to be had from every room - and then there is the two acres of garden. Breakfast options were innovative and delicious. Best of all, our hostess was warm, funny, welcoming and relaxed - we felt right at home. Could not recommend The Rocks more highly.

We stayed at The Rocks for 3 nights and had a great time. Noelene, the manager is fantastic and will go out of her way to accommodate your every need and she is a fabulous cook - loved the blueberry pancakes. The room was comfortable and the gardens were great for a stroll. Quite close to town, 5 - 10 minute walk to york st.

My partner and I stayed at The Rocks last night as we were lucky enough to be part of the bridal party for a wedding there. We stayed in the Santalia Suite but also saw the other rooms (there are 6 rooms in total). All of them are stunning.

The Rocks is in an excellent location near the centre of Albany but it would be wonderful to stay there even if it wasn't. In fact I was glad we had no reason to leave - it would be difficult to be a visitor to town and feel obliged to see the sights outside The Rocks!

It is a beautifully restored and renovated former Governor's Residence. The building and gardens are gorgeous and the views amazing. The rooms are luxurious, featuring lovely furniture, generous bathrooms, and sheets, towels and bathrobes we wanted to take home. Our breakfast was delicious.

Noelene, the manager, is wonderful - friendly, professional, nothing is too much trouble.

The only fault I could find is that you can hear plumbing noises from the other rooms - but that is probably to be expected from a heritage building.

The Rocks is perfect for a function, wonderful for a visit. I can't recommend it highly enough.
