We recently stayed at The Waves Apartments for 1 night. We booked a beachfront suite which has views of the water. The other rooms which are slightly cheaper appear to face onto the parking area. We were very happy with our choice, which we had booked directly through the establishment website. The staff at the reservation desk were very friendly and helpful. The apartment building is in a great location at the end of the Esplanade. Easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants and right across from the swimming beach. There is secure free parking offered in two basement areas under the building, but is first come first serve and some of the bays are a squeeze to get into. We had no problem in finding a parking space though. The building was very clean and the apartment was clean, modern and spacious with nice linen. A breakfast pack was included which was a very nice touch. We stayed on the third floor, which had a nice view from the balcony. There is a children's park across the road with lots of trees, so the view of the water is through and over the treetops, but very pleasant all the same. There is a TV in each room, which is convenient. The building and apartment was very quiet and we never heard any of the other guests. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend Waves to anyone visiting Phillip Island

These apartments are really nice. There are 2 sections, one that is only 3 years old and the other which is six years old. We chose the ones that were 3 years old and a lot more modern, though a bit more expensive. We chose these apartments from the internet and for the first time in a while, what we saw on the net is what we received, and that was a relief. Suits families, if you do not want children sleeping in bunk beds ask for the 2 single beds. It is clean, spacious and comfortable and reception is very accommodating to your needs and will advise you of places to go for dinner etc, all you need to do is ask.

We booked this accomodation through online travel.com and got a better deal than going direct with the hotel. We were a little worried after reading reviews stating that the non sea view rooms were not great. We found our room to be fantastic, modern and roomy. The only down side was we all (two adults and two children) kept sneezing and our asthma flaired up. We can only put this down to the room being dusty, yet we could not see any signs of it? I would not hesitate staying here again, but would mention the sneezing issue.

We got here via a last minute enquiry at tourist information in Newhaven (which was so helpful). Reception at the Wave could not have been more friendly. The superb room was really two rooms, one with a huge (very comfy) double bed and the other with three fully adult sized singles. Excellent facilities in the room, including a kitchenette. Easily the best accomodation for three adults at this price on our Australian trip.
