l was mislead by sales pitch on Continental Hotel's Web Site. Sounds great and pictures look good, thats were it ends. When l arrived l thought l had the wrong hotel looks very average from the outside. l thought thats ok room will be good for $190 per night Executive SPA Oceanic Views, couldnt be more dissappointed. Room was very old and badly need of a refresh, blankets , fixtures , heaters etc looked at least 20 years old. Room wasnt cleaned properly, could not open sliding door to access ocean view ( view wasnt that great) and front door lock was rusty. Advertising on Website also mentioned King Bed and Wide Screen tv, again mislead, room had two single beds placed together not even the same height ? Wide Screen tv was an old tube tv and wasnt so wide or big . Hotel did not have enough parking , had to park my car on the street over night. Continental breakfeast included was also ordinary . Definetly not worth $190 l was charged , not even sure how they can justify that charge and how they can get away with false advertising. Also location was that great after all, lots of noise from people leaving the pub late at night . Much nice places to stay in Phillip Island for that Price Range, learnt my lesson will be reviewing forums for now on and igoring information provided by hotel websites.

Its a 70's block of flats that's had a cheap makeover in the 90's and hasn't been cleaned since. Its in a great spot though and the view was good. In summary: Don't go there!

My husband and I spent a night in this hotel as had a voucher from Livingsocial. Dont know why previous reviews about this place are not so great, some people must be very difficult to please or things in this hotel changed for the better. The room was big and clean, bed comfortable, spa very nice and worked perfectly, room was warm as had heater. We had very beautiful view from the balcony of our Ocean View Spa room. Hotel location is very convinient close to the beach and main street with restaurants and shops. As it was Friday night I was expecting music from the bar but heard nothing. My husband told me he heard people leaving the bar late at night and that's about it. Breakfast was quite good, nothing special but good variety and quality. Breakfast room quite big and warm. Overall I was happy with our stay, worth the money we paid! By the way staff was quite friendly and the guy even brought us passwords for Internet connection to our room upstairs.

Work Confrence for approx 40 ppl. Great Location! But thats the only thing going for it!!! Upon arriving the receptionist had the personality of a dead rat! We where such an intrusion to her day! One of our male work colleagues was give the keys to his room and when he went to his room the poor woman, who stayed in there the night before had not even check out! She was in the bathroom getting ready to leave! A situation that should never occur.
We stayed on the 3rd floor. Lugging suitcases up the weathered, rotting steps was extremely dangerous.
Concrete Belcony had spectacular views but to get out there was a challange due to sliding door being very stiff to open. The belcony also shook as you stood on it!
The bath/shower was filthy, i.e. Hair in the bath, mouldy shower curtain and rusty towel rails. Not to mention really slippery surface when in shower. Room had a musty smell in it and the floor had not been vacuumed in god knows how long.
Bar fridge had 4 little satchels of milk and when poured into the water it was off!!!
Rang reception for more milk. It never arrived so walked to supermarket and purchased our own.
Terrible sleep due to noise from adjoining pub. And walls where paper thin.
Water pipes from other rooms rattled all night.
Several rooms had no toilet paper and while we where having a drink in the beer garden the receptionist came and dumped the rolls on our table!!!!!!!!!!!
Food very average, some food being unedible due to being off!
Ironicly our conference was all about better customer service!!!!
Needless to say we learnt alot from our memorable but horrible stay!!
