“Home away from home”

For family accommodation in Australia / New Zealand, consider Quest serviced apartments first. We, for one, are now very 'Quest-loyal'. You can rest assured you are checking in to a very comfortable and well-equipped place. On our road trip, we looked forward to our Quest stays to just realign ourselves a bit (having stayed in a variety of B&Bs and motels) - get a 'proper' shower, do our laundry, and plenty of space for the family.

Quest apartments really feel like a 'home away from home' - and this is no different for Quest Philip Island. Modern looking and comfortable - the 2 room apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and dryer (you might need to buy your own soap powder), not forgetting the living area with comfy sofas and a large flat-screen television with some Foxtel channels and wi-fi (at a fee). As for outdoor facilities, there is an outdoor pool, which looked inviting, but we decided to hang out at the beach instead, some 2 minutes away by foot. There's only one thing missing from the package - and that would be that there are no units with a proper sea-view. That, however, isn't really a problem since the beach is so near.

We paid AUD205 for our two-bedroom apartment and were very satisfied with what we got. Quest Phillip Island also has one and three-bedroom apartments at equally afforable prices. For the best deal, check out their website for their "Best Available Internet Rate". Parking is available for free at this facility.

“Hotel staff and room were excellent, location made it hard to sleep due to the night life .”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2011

This Hotel was excellent in many respects , the room was spacious, very clean with modern furniture and was well stocked with all the basics. The staff were friendly , very helpful and pleasant. The pool was wonderful with the kids, clean, very well fenced.
The location was good for a short stroll to the shops, cafes, and the beach . The location of the hotel was very nice in the daytime, but at night , we were kept awake by loud pub music thumping from about 10:30pm until about 3 am. So the location over a busy weekend, may not be the best for a quite restful nights sleep. But during the week the location could be possibly be quiter?? Or even a room in a different location could have created a more peaceful experience .I don't know ?? This was no fault of the hotel though, just simply the location , just simply being close to night life didn't make the nights peaceful. The only other thing that let our experience down was the Queen bed. It was rock hard and very uncomfortable.

“Adequate, comfortable without being startling”

Quest Phillip Island is a very clean apartment style hotel with basic but functional rooms and features. It's central location (only a short 200 metres to the main shopping point in Cowes) adds to the Island experience. Rooms are modern with LCD television, DVD player and a kitchen containing oven, hotplates and a microwave. The bathroom is basic and now a little outdated. Rooms can be rather cold during winter months and guests are advised to leave the air-conditioner on at all times. The beds, as mentioned in other reviews, are comfortable but are starting to feel past their best. Sheets are also quite rough but still bearable. Staff are very helpful and accomodating. Nice place to stay in Cowes.

“Really nice place to stay!”

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights at Quest Philip Island under a romantic chocolate and bubbles package. The staff were friendly, check in was smooth, and when we got to our room we realised that they had upgraded our room into a 2 bedroom apartment! Unfortunately as we are a young couple, the 2nd bedroom was not very useful, but it was a kind gesture none the less! The apartment was clean and spacious. The pool was decent. Car parking was available. Apartment was in a great location, very close walk to the main Cowes strip! Would definitely stay here again.
