“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We stayed here for 3 nights in early January and we couldn't have chosen a better place.Ideal quite location yet only 2 to 3 mins walk to all the bars and restaurants in Apollo Bay. Lovely well kept clean and tidy B&B Oz style. Our bedroom was lovely and the public lounge/dining room was very welcoming. Would stay here again if ever we are down this way again.
We can recommend the Spanish style tapas bar "Chill" fantastic service, and the lovely Chris' restaurant at /
Skanes Creek, book your taxi early though as only 1 taxi in Apollo Bay.
Give the seafood restaurant, Vista, a miss though. The food was overpriced and the portion size was very small. We complained to the owner who offered a free desert or bottle of wine but we declined. Free is not what we are about we prefer good food at a reasonable price.

“Great B&B - just wish we could of stayed longer!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

My hubby and I stayed here for 1 night in February 2011 as part of our Great Ocean Road trip and we really wish we'd had more time here.
From when we arrived until we left we were made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed our short time here.
The room was spotlessly clean with a comfy double bed and patio doors which opened onto a lovely private outdoor seating area. The bathroom was very nice with a big double shower.
We had a lovely breakfast at Nelson's Perch - consisted of cereals, warm pastries and toast as well as tea/coffee and juices - it was a good start to the day.
It was only a 5 min walk into the town and there were ample places to dine at - we ended up at Buffs which was very nice.
The beach was lovely and the town itself was small and friendly.
We would love to one day go back and stay for longer.

“Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

This is one of the best B&Bs we've stayed in anywhere. There are just three rooms on the ground floor, all of which have their own patio and tiny garden. There's a large guest lounge where a better than average continental breakfast is served. The house is modern, the rooms well furnished with a comfortable bed and super ensuite (large double shower). It's just a few minutes to the sea-front at Apollo bay and there's off-road parking. Add in very friendly, informative and professional hosts and all the boxes are ticked !

“Great host! Great B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

We arrived late in the afternoon and received a very warm welcome from the hosts. The rooms have a very tasteful, modern interior, comfy beds and a private patio. The bathrooms were modern and perfectly clean. There is a big lounge / breakfast area, whith free internet, DVDs, portwine and chocolate. The hosts really make you feel at home and create a relaxing, laid-back atmosphere. For breakfast there is a variety of cereals, toast, croissants and a selection of tea/coffee/etc... We wished we could have stayed longer! Probably the best B&B in Apollo Bay!

“Superb accommodation, fantastic host!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

My husband and I stayed at Nelson's Perch for one night before tackling the Great Ocean Walk, and for two nights after our hike to recover. We had a fantastic stay! Wayne was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. The location was superb, being in a quiet area, yet still within easy walking distance of the main street, restaurants and beach. Great value, and a superb host, for which nothing is too much trouble. Thank you :)
