“Love Mooloolaba”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Great apartment, although slightly dated. Stayed in a large studio apartment with kitchenette and laundry facilities.

We were on second floor overlooking the pool which was at times a bit noisy. If we were to return I would ask for a higher floor.

The location was great and staff were very nice.

Loved the pool and spa which although small was very resort like with waterfall feature.

Only downside was the air conditioner was extremely noisy at night. Would recommend Landmark Resort as it was good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor to avoid pool noise

“Best possible location, roomy studio suite with spa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

I booked a room with Hinterland/pool views after reading recommendations from others on Tripadvisor, and asked for a room above the 5th floor too. This turned out to be great advice, as the views of Mooloolaba and the Hinterland were lovely, and we were so close to the beach it didn't matter if we couldn't see it from our room.

The real drawcard here is the location, it is right on the Esplanade, smack bang next to all the eateries including the surf club. Exiting from the reception entrance means that you've got a 5-10 minute walk to Coles and BWS if you want to self-cater too, which you can thanks to the little kitchenette.

The room we got was on the 7th floor, and included a spabath/shower in the bathroom. We enjoyed the luxury of that one night, but it was a serious pain in the butt trying to get in and out of the spa/shower alcove because the door is set too high. Despite that, the room was comfortable, well-furnished, and had a nice balcony where we sat for a couple of afternoons with a book and a beer.

One of the biggest bonuses we got was a voucher for a night's free accommodation if we stayed again for three nights or more. We left feeling thoroughly relaxed, I would definitely return, particularly with the help of the voucher.

Room Tip: Following other people's tips, the rooms above 5th floor with hinterland views are great.

“Penthouse isn't worth the money but the location is fantastic!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Majority of rooms and all penthouses are privately owned here so I'm not sure how much input/power the management have to upgrade and improve the rooms but we stayed in the 3bdm penthouse for 7nights with the private rooftop area and spa.
The bedrooms are quite nice, but nothing out of the ordinary but the bedding, linen and pillows are amazing - probably the best at any place I've ever stayed (they even give you the option to purchase the pillows).
The bathrooms are fairly modern however they didn't appear to be cleaned very well (there was a chunk of lipstick on the floor that wasn't mine) there is no water pressure in the showers and the toilet ran all night.
The kitchen is quite small but fully equipped and modern - could really use some plastics cups though for use on the rooftop.
The lounge/dining room has very outdated furniture in it and only a dining setting for 4 people when the room accommodates up to 6 people!? It is also very cramped and more comfortable to sit on the floor if you don't get a corner seat on the L-shaped lounge.
The balcony is tiny considering it's supposed to be for 6people and has metal uncomfortable seats with a filthy faded table and dirty ground - the view however is amazing!
The rooftop can only be accessed by a very narrow, steep, spiral staircase - we knew this before booking so weren't fazed by it as it's quite normal for penthouse rooftop access - but wouldn't be suitable for very large or elderly people. The staircase also can make it difficult when carting food up there to cook on the BBQ or drinks. The BBQ was very clean but didn't have a cover on it and the spa was really good - the only problem being is that there is no shade over the spa so you can't really use it during the day. The view from the rooftop is beautiful!
There are 2 lifts that operate and they are very quick and the reception area is very nice with a grand staircase, couches and a vending machine.
The ground floor pool was lovely with a swim under bridge, waterfall features and big spa as is the less known about/less crowded rooftop spa with additional BBQ facilities and beautiful views across the ocean, river and city.
I would possibly stay here again for the views, pools and close proximity to everything but would NOT spend the extra money on the penthouse.
For a great breakfast, walk across the road to the surf club - beachfront and expansive!

Room Tip: Don't spend the extra money for the penthouse but do spend the bit extra to get an oceanview!

“December Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

I had an ocean view suite on the 9th floor for 3 weeks .. super view .. roomwas clean and quiet with everything you need in thebathroom as far as shower washer/dryer. The esplanade just a walk out the 1st floor was an excellent place to hang out too .. check out the Surf Club across the road for comfy atmosphere and tasty food!

The staff very helpful .. friendly and if I'm correct .. Rebecca was the local award winner for all she did for guests .. just one of the many great staff manning the desk!!

Room Tip: The local bus system will take you to any where you need to go and they are right on time

“Penthouse needs an overhaul”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

3 bedroom Penthouse on the 10th floor was supposed to be a real treat. The verandah was very small with metal pub style chairs. Nice spa on the roof but not covered so it limited the amount of time you could spend in it. Plastic table and chairs up there - not under cover so very hot through the day. Toilet ran all night. Accomodation for 6 - only 4 dining room chairs though. . The underground carpark stank as if raw sewerage was flooding into it. The unit was not clean and the balcony had not been cleaned for some time as there was built up dirt and a dead worm that had been there a long time.Good location and close to all amenities. Very comfy beds and pillows Nice views over the water. Furniture is really old and dated. Look around - you will get better value for your money.
