My husband & I along with a group of Probians from NZ had a wonderful week at The Moorings. From the 8th floor, watching the sun come over the horizon each day was such a treat, I couldnt stop taking photo's of the wonderful cloud formations, the different tides, the ships and tankers steering close towards us on their way to the Brisbane docks, rowers,canoes, fishing boats, birdlife, walkers & runners, so much to watch.
Although our unit had not yet been brought up to modern day standards(ie; flat screen TV, modern outdoor furniture,) as had most of the others, it was very comfortable, clean, and very spacious. Any problems we had with things not working were dealt with promptly by the very friendly Manager. A broken light bulb replaced within minutes of asking.
The grounds were imaculate, every leaf that dared to fall onto the grass was disposed of quickly, the pool area & paths washed down daily by a very diligent manager soon after sunrise.
My only complaint would be that it was hard for me to use the facilities as I have a mobility problem, steps everywhere, the pool extremely difficult to enter as no ladder or steps to walk down,
Also no grab rails in either bathroom for bath or shower, for those with a disability, but I managed OK, I am mentioning it for the sake of wheelchair bound folk.
We will definately be back for longer next time, and have no hesitation to recommend The Moorings to anyone.

Beautiful,clean,well kept appartments. Friendly,helpful staff. Great position overlooking ocean. Fantastic holiday. I can definately recommend.

Recently my family and I stayed at the beautiful Moorings Beach Resort on Golden Beach Caloundra. The staff, Stan and Elizabeth were extremely helpful and more that happy to go out of their way. One afternoon I was trying to work out the oven in the kitchen and just couldn't get it and Stan was only too happy to come and set the timer etc for me. We had seven lovely days and didn't want to go home.
My three children, 8yrs, 6yrs and 3yrs had a wonderful time and enjoyed the pool area immensely. The water was a perfect 28 degrees, so it was not a problem swimming in the cool winter air. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The atmosphere was relaxing so it was easy to unwind for a much needed break.
The resort is directly across from the beautiful Pumicestone Passage and there are lengthy walking tracks that follow the foreshore, great for running or a stroll with the children. Not far from the resort are great playareas fro the kids and they are equipped with picnic and bbq facilities. It was a holiday so I didn't plan on doing too much cooking and there are plenty of places to eat. Whether you want a casual fish and chips, or something more upmarket, like the Power Boat Club that is only a 10 minute stroll along the foreshore their is something there for you. The Moorings also has a great cafe on the waterfront with a great menu. We are all looking forward to coming back to the Moorings especially for a summer holiday!!

Wonderful accomodation in a beautiful location. Staff were lovely and all ameneties were spotlessly clean. Room was gorgeous with a stunning view. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort and hope to stay again soon.
