The Banjo Paterson Inn is basically a pub with motel style rooms attached. The first impressions we had were good, the place is clean enough albeit starting to look a bit tired and the staff seemed friendly. Later we explored the hotel downstairs and it quickly became apparent that it's the local nightspot. The clientelle were suitably loud and there appeared to be little attention to the responsible service of alcohol. We were advised to park our verhicle in the secure "lock up" area, I suppose that should've sent alarm bells ringing. Anyway a rowdy night ensued listening to the drunken patrons dowstairs in the bar, but we expected a bit of noise so no problem there. The next morning I went to check on my vehicle and to my disgust someone had vandalised it. So much for their secure lock-up. I can only assume that one of the drunken morons caused the damage whilst in their stupified state. The manager was apologetic but no offer of restitution (eg a free night's accomodation) was offered.
