“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

Booked on-line for 2 nights, pictures on the web looked great, thought that we had a bargain!
On arrival the property looked very "tired" our room consisted of a king bed and 2 double bunks no chairs at all, no soap in the bathroom, no tea spoons.
On the plus side, the staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and the under-floor heating worked well. We slept well as the place was very quiet.
The restaurant/bar and lounge was closed for the night forcing us to drive 9klms to town for our dinner. We booked out the following morning after breakfast which was ok.

Room Tip: Check out the room before booking in. Try and get a refurbished room.

“We will definately be back!”

So on booking the accommodation I checked the reviews online and was very sceptical about travelling to this accomodation due to all of the reviews I had read on this website. THE ROOM WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN I EVER EXPECTED! We have stayed in quite a few places in Jindabyne and thought everywhere else was overpriced and not worth the value.
We stayed in a Standard room for 4 people but it slept six. The floors were heated (most favourite part), the linen was beautiful, soft and clean. We all had the best night sleep and this was over a weekend - the mattresses were perfect. Although the bathroom had not been renovated compared to the room it was still neat and clean.
We will most definately be choosing to stay here again. And I would recommend to everyone to choose this place in East Jindabyne - even though its just over 5 minutes out from Jindabyne town it is well worth the extra drive every day.

“No thanks”

We booked a deluxe room on but the room we got was far from deluxe . The room was in need of repair with multiple marks, stains and holes in the walls/floor and the bathroom was without heating and stone cold which made it very unplesant. Noisy at night with people coming and going.

The room could pass as a standard budget room at best but without heating in the bathroom it makes it feel more like a caravan park shower block. House keeping dropped in but did nothing more than take the rubbish.
At over $500 for two nights its well overpriced we wont be back.

“Another Disappointed Couple”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

Similar to the prior review we were pretty disappointed with Siesta Villas.

The staff were nice but from there it was downhill:
* Our room was nothing like the photos on the website and in serious need of renovation.
* The bar/restaurant balcony backs on to rooms 401 - 405 and we were kept awake until 2am both nights by smokers; drinkers; and even children.
* It is located around 10kms from Jindabyne town centre

Overall if you decide to stay; make sure you get a renovated room; located well away from the bar/restaurant area.

“Just don't go!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

One thing that irritates me more than anything, is false advertisement. This may well be a case of a motel with one or two decent rooms that they advertise with the rest being rubbish. Our room was rubbish.

This motel gives a bad impression from the moment you drive in since it looks run down and shabby from the outside but, as other reviewers have said, its actually surprisingly nice in the rooms. This was sadly not the case for us.

Our hearts sank when we walked into our cold and miserable room. The bathroom resembles a public toilet, cold (absolutely no heating), windows which don't fit the window (adding to the cold), mouldy shower base, smelly old shower curtain, no soap and ladies shock, horror NO hairdryer! The shower was either scolding or freezing...taking a shower was pure comedy! Did I mention it was cold?

The bed was great, clean and comfortable. That, people is the only plus. The carpet was dirty, TV had a very poor reception, remote didn't work, no milk, no telephone, non-existent room service...here just expect the bed to be made. Bathroom products are not replenished, nor is tea, coffee, milk. The walls are plasterboard so don't expect that thing called 'sleep'.

Welcomed back one afternoon to no heating or hot water. Went to sit in the bar to warm up, but the fires hadn't even been lit. Its the middle of winter! Problem was fixed in the evening, so not the end of the world, but hey, when your paying $258 a night you would at least expect a hot shower and a room that was warm.

Breakfast was hit and miss. Cereals, toast, tinned fruit, yogurt and cooked choices which were average. Staff are all friendly and do their best. Sent us up an extra heater. But we're paying $258 a night...shouldn't need to even ask!

I came away from this weekend away to the snow (which we only do once a year), feeling completely ripped off. I've honestly stayed in better hostels. The whole experience ruined our weekend. Obviously wont be back.
