This was an idyllic place to stay. I can't describe just how lovely it is. We wanted to stay in Coogee, but wanted somewhere quiet. The Coogee Beachouse was perfect. It is a penthouse apartment in a residential area, with massive windows looking out to the ocean, a dressing room, an enormous hot tub and lots of space. There is even a telescope supplied for whale watching. The quality of accommodation was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Diane and Didier. We didn't have breakfast, but the option is there if you want it (and we heard that the breakfasts here are fantastic). It takes 10 minutes to walk into Coogee along a boardwalk by the ocean. Walking back would take longer, because it is a pretty steep hill going back, but we always resorted to taxis, which only cost about Aus$5. If you want to go into the city, there is a bus stop less than 5 minutes walk away which takes you right to Circular Quay. I would really reccommend this place if you are looking for somewhere for a 2nd or 3rd time visit to Sydney . The first time you go, you would probably be better off somewhere more central. Once you have overdosed on the Bridge and Opera House, the Coogee Beachouse is ideal as a luxury base for experiencing everything else that Sydney has to offer.
