What a fantastic, relaxing and customer service friendly place! We will definitely be back. This is a family friendly, singles/couples friendly place. Beautiful pool, beautiful continental breakfast and so close to the lagoon and downtown Airlie Beach! Excellent value for money, beds are not too soft, not too firm, there are extra pillows and a blanket if you need it. The bathrooms are very roomy, the shower is great if your short or tall and theres even a mini tub for the kids if you have little ones. TV receptions is excellent and there is a small balcony overlooking the pool. The owners/managers and front desk receptionists are all personal able and help with questions you might have.

We truly enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Room is a great size, bed is huge and the view is really nice.

The staff went above and beyond our expectations, we had an issue with laundry and the manager fixed it very fast. They also had a plumber come through for some routine maintenance and the staff offered to buy us drinks while we waited the 15 minutes.

Great location, fantastic staff and owner! Really happy with everything they offered including the restaurant, we had the indian style dishes which were 8/10 for us fussy sydney diners. Everything worked in our room, everything was supplied that we needed and the pool was nice and clean and just plain relaxing. We are so glad to see the other great recent reviews, keep up the good work!!! I hope its just as good next time we come to the Whitsundays.

This place is a great escape. With New Owners (who are also the new managers from December 2011) - you sense a warmth and refreshing energy with this place (I have been here a few times over the years).
The Restaurant has a great menu now and the food is fresh & well cooked.
Breakfast was again fresh and well thought through.
The rooms are clean and comfortable - and I am told there will be a process of upgrading a number of the rooms in 2012 - but not making noise to disturb the guests! So they'll get even better.
I liked the short walk to the centre of Airlie - great after a night out in town (to walk home) but also don't have idiots walking past the motel that often.

In short - a great place and with it being a family run property now - more love & care will go into this place to make the stay better.

Remembering that this is a 3-4 star place, I thought it was great value, comfortable and would definitely return with the wife next time.

I try not to give a place 5 stars for everything - but knowing that the property is getting revamped - it was all sitting on a 4 or 5 stars anyway - so it can only get better with their planned improvements - they deserve the 5 stars.
