“Very nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

We spent a couple of nights here. It is a family owned place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a barbq grill there and we were able to make our own dinner there one night which was a real pleasure for us.

Some of the rooms are older and need updating but our room and a couple of others we saw, have been recently updated and are very nice.

Additionally, we spent 3 nights on a boat in the Whitsunday Islands and were able to leave our remaining luggage and our rental car here at no extra charge.

This is a no frills place to stay. If you are looking for a bed and a base to explore or hit the beach, this is the place for you. If you are looking to be pampered, this will not work for you.

“A really pleasant stay, in a nice room, with a very welcoming staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 May 2011

We stayed 3 nights at the Arlie Beach Motor Lodge in March 2011.
We had first booked 2 nights (1 night before and 1 night after a 2-day cruise in the Whitsunday islands), but as I suffered a terrible seasickness, I had to come back earlier from the cruise and stayed at the Motor Lodge for the 2nd night. As my partner stayed on the cruise and I felt really bad, the staff was full of attention to help me. We received a new room, that was even better than the first one (more modern).
The staff was also very helpful when we had to change our plans because of the flooding in Queensland.
Nice balcony or small terrace depending on the room.
Wifi available.
We recommend this accomodation for the friendliness of the staff and the good rooms!

“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2010

A two minute walk from the town centre (but up a bit of a hill), this motel is a little run down, but clean and with reasonable facilities - good sized room, fridge and microwave, a small pool, and (important to us) free internet.

Karen the receptionist was very helpful with organising boat trips etc.

Overall good value.
