Having travelled infreqently of recent times, not really sure what to expect from a motel in country Victoria. Took my mother and daughter for a few days break in the school holidays and saw this motel on the net and thought it looked nice enough. Ended up staying 6 nights instead of 3 as my daughter didn't want to leave! Everything seemed to be of such a high standard, reminded me more of the 4 star places I'd visited in europe when I travelled for work. I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled as the owners made our trip so wonderful not too mention the clean pool, spa, trampoline, internet access, the divine bedding,soft towels and incredibly quiet environment. Not much more to say except have booked to re-visit again next January and can't recommend highly enough.....

Driving into Wangaratta, passed at least 5 other motels yet saw the great reviews and was happy to have chosen Advance. What a let down!! My "Queen Deluxe" was one of the tiniest rooms I've ever stayed in. The noise from other guests meant I had to use ear plugs and a sleeping pill. The bathroom had no bench room to speak of (just a sink with tiny surrounds), and the furniture/furnishings were dated, old and cheap. You know just a coat of white paint over the dark dingy exposed bricks in the room would make a huge difference, it seems like the motel is just raking in the cash and not putting it back into improvements. I'd certainly never stay here again, and actually was envying those in tents in the campground.

We've been staying at the Advance Motel every Christmas/summer holidays for 7 years. It's our treat at the end of the busy year!
When we finally arrive for our annual one week stay, it feels like we are coming home but without the stress of knowing there is housework ahead of us, lawns to mow etc.
Michael and Tiffany are such friendly, caring and thoughtful hosts and always greet us with a smile and a treat! Their thoughtfullness never stops during our stay as our girls enjoy the hot chocolate, ice-creams, dvd's, trampoline and wonderful pool and spa.
The majority of our annual one week stay is spent at the motel as we swim/relax/eat/drink by the pool for hours. I don't know how many squirts of the water gun Michael has copped and how many of our pool toys he's had to blow up..............!!!
Michael and Tiffany offer more than just a clean and comfortable room to stay. It's the extra effort they provide in ensuring we are happy and relaxed that creates the best holidays that I know our girls will remember for years to come!!!!!!!!!!!

Fancy finding a room with 1 x Queen Bed & 5 x Single Beds! Great staff - clean rooms and gave a terrific recommendation for where to have dinner in town. Will gladly stay again when travelling between Sydney and Melbourne.
