My husband and I had a stopover to break our journey to Melbourne. We found this motel very clean and comfortable; Michael the owner was very pleasant and friendly, we would have no hesitation in staying there again.

My wife & I stayed at the Advance Motel in June 2011 for 4 nights as part of a " Touch of Europe" package tour organised by the owners Michael & Tiffany. We were picked up by coach in Sydney and hosted all the way to Wangarratta by Tiffany herself. The trip did not seem that long as we were entertained along the way by the funny banter between some of the passengers and the "true stories" from our coach driver Ian. Tiffany made sure we had plenty to eat and with well spaced rest stops kept us all comfortable.
When we arrived at the Advance Motel, her husband Michael had already gone around and turned all the heating on in each room, something he did everynight of our stay. It was these little touches that added to our comfort and enjoyment. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed had an electric blanket and was very comfortable to sleep in. A substantial continental breakfast was supplied each day.
We found the Advance Motel to be a little gem in country Victoria and would have no hesitation in staying there again for the comfort and cleanliness as well as the friendliness of it's owners.

The service that we got on boarding the coach and the great welcome that Tiffiny expressed was over welming all the way from our pick up point to the Advance Hotel where Michael also greeted us with open arms. The rooms were neat and tidy as we expected.
The motel was off the road so you could not hear much traffic. The whole trip which lasted 5 days was a little hurried but under the circumstances every one took it in their stride. We visited a number of wineries, saw where The Kelly gang had there last fight also where Ned was tried and convicted.
The food was great, at times there was too much that we couldn't eat it all. Overall I think that the trip was excellent and would recommend the trip to everybody.

My trip from Adelaide to Omeo started at 5.30am and I got stuck in Wangaratta at 7.00 pm due to delays, road conditions and snow on Hotham. I needed a hotel room with no booking and a dog with a dog crate.I was exausted and inneed of a hot shower and lay down.The owners Michael and Tiffany are great people and I want to thank them heaps .I would have been in big trouble trying to go over Hotham tired and in the dark.
