“Magnificent”

We went here purely by chance on a Sunday morning on holiday, just cameupon it while visiting Nelson.

The staff were very friendly and greeted us quickly with menus and we took a table on an outside balcony. Coffee orders were quick and well-made, and breakfast orders weren't far behind.

The brunch menu looked delicious. My partner ordered the Fritters and I ordered the Local Breakfast. Both were very well made - the fritters were absolutely delicious and exceptionally tasty!

Highly recommended - if in Nelson would definitely go back.

“Maybe a victim of its own success”

The cafe can be great. It's always busy and has a great menu. The food is good. The coffee can vary depending on the barista and I have had both good and bad coffee there.
Probably best to avoid around the Xmas holidays. I had a bad experience recently where my order was lost and no one realised for 45 minutes. It seemed like it may have been a less than perfectly trained staff member.
You might be better to try some of the smaller less busy cares at holiday time.

“good coffee and great menu”

This is one of my favourite Nelson cafes! The menu is great, there is something for everyone and very nice coffee. The staff are great and the atmosphere is good except for those really busy time.

A colleague & I got up early and skipped the cornflakes to come here for brekkie, brilliant feats and great coffee!!
