This is a very well kept motel, we had a lovely one bedr0om unit with everything in tip top condition and very clean, it is one of the best units we have stayed in during our 8 weeks in New Zealand. The motel is on a busy road but the units are set well back from the road and we did not have any noise disturbance from traffic at night

After travel through the South Island staying at motels, Abelia has by far some of the best beds I've ever slept in. Highly recommended.

A great Motel. The lady was really friendly. The unit was very clean and quiet. I heard no sounds from the units next to mine and they were booked. I found no fault at all, the price was good, this is not a 5 star unit, but worth staying in.
I travel a lot for work, so I like a clean nit and I could not fault this one.
As far as smells go, you have to understand that a lot of water in NZ is mineral water, so if the unit is closed up, it may have a smell, but once doors and windows are open and it's lived in.. all is ok.

Would recommend this Motel to anyone who wants a clean quiet unit. I had no trouble with traffic noise and I am a light sleeper , or getting across the road or on to it with my car.

This is nice simple motel in a busy commecial area away from downtown. our room was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. There's not much around worth walking to, but its price was reasonable, in a good location if you have a car and the room was more than comfortable and clean.
