This place was recommeded to me. It is a hidden gem. It is easy to find on a main road leading into Nelson town centre. Even though on a main road there is very little noise from traffic. The unit was very clean and modern. Excellent bed and I love the duvet as it was so light but warm.

As a couple of female friends, we requested a twin room and although this necessitated splitting a kingsize bed into two singles, this was done quickly, efficiently and with pleasant communication. The rain was teeming down but the response to our request lifted our spirits. The room, kitchen and bathroom were immaculately clean and very comfortably furnished and the cutlery, glasses and crockery were of very high standard.

I would certainly recommend this motel and appreciate the welcoming atmosphere created by the owners.

The lodge was very clean and the service of the owners was terrific, we asked if they had a BBQ and they wheeled one right tothe apartment straight away. We enjoyed the BBQ in the sunset , as the lodge is facing toward the afternoon sun. All the utensils were there. The room was very clean, could not fault the cleanliness in any way, not a speck of dust or dirt to be found! The beds were so comfortable and pillows devine, what a great nights sleep we all had! Close to shops for small suppliessnd bigger shops a good 45 min walk, we walked there and taxi'ed back. Beautiful lodge, shame it is on the main road, however a 10 min walk and you right on the beach. If you have a car, it is close to everything wonderful that Nelson has to offer. This is a very well kept motel, we had a lovely one bedr0om unit with everything in tip top condition and very clean, it is one of the best units we have stayed in during our 8 weeks in New Zealand. The motel is on a busy road but the units are set well back from the road and we did not have any noise disturbance from traffic at night
