“Home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

My wife and I and our friends spent 3 nights at this wonderful B & B. Kay & Joe our hosts were delightful. The home was clean and neat. Fabulous views. Breakfast was delicious each day. We even had a dinner party for our last night with other guests and friends . It was a a great experience. I would recommend this B @ B to all my friends and family

“A remarkable experience at a luxury home with stunning views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

Our 4-day stay at Nelson is unforgettable, despite the heavy rain, the clouds, and the single one sunny day because we stayed at Kay & Joe's beautiful B&B! This was our very first B&B experience, but we've stayed at tons of hotels, mostly the 5-star hotels around the world like the Four Seasons and the Park Hyatts and I have to say that this place, and the service, went far above and beyond our expectations. The room was beautiful; it was extremely clean, the bed sheets super comfortable, the showers gorgeous with every corner of the room and shower so beautifully and thoughtfully designed that it captivated your attention for a long time! Kay had set aside the yummiest loose-leaf tea for this hopeless tea addict, and I could have as many cups as I desired! She also left us a delicious goodie everyday when we returned to our room. The cocktail hour was very fun; they made us feel so at home, with very nice wine and a delicious something to munch on. The free WiFi was also nice! With the house being on the very top of a hill, you could not help but marvel at the view. We also used the hot tubs and sauna - they have a fancy sauna that works differently and very effectively for short bursts, loved it. It was all very lovely. Extremely private with beautiful views. Breakfasts were delicious. We were very well-fed! And I fell in love with their sweet dog, Bijou. Our stay at this B&B was wonderful, and we would return in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, dear Kay and Joe!

Room Tip: I saw both rooms and they were both just lovely. You can't go wrong!

“Epic breakfasts and the sexiest shower in New Zealand!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

We're on our honeymoon and stayed in the Tuscan room and LOVED it. It has a shower with TWO sprayers so that you can shower with your sweetie without anyone being left in the cold! The food was absolutely fantastic and it was nice to get something other than basic breakfast. Our hosts were absolutely lovely people and we especially loved hanging out with Bijoux their dog. Ours is at home so it was good to get a "fur fix". Stay here!!

“Just amasing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

Absolute highlight of a quick new zealand jaunt was staying at the delightful "a culinary experience". The cooking class that Kay taught was superb. The plentiful food that was not only home grown and made but organic was just delightful such as home made yogurts, jams and even peanut paste was a true culinary treat.
I big thank you to Kay and Jo for welcoming me into their home but also for sending back home to Australia a pair of sunnies that I left by the spa which Imight I add is under the stars and looking over the snow capped mountains.
Just beautiful!!!
