My wife and son and I spent 4 nights here in January. We had 3 nights in the executive appartment and 1 night in the single bedroom studio. The motel is 3 minutes walk from the CBD and convenient for both the coastal drive west and the Picton road. The appartments are clean and well equipped. The owners provided a BBQ FOC for 2 nights and were helpful in many ways including sending us a jacket we had forgotten.

Just read the other reviews. It's all there from the space and comfort of the suites to the warm welcome offered by the hosts. Laundry room is a Godsend. Parking is easy and location is perfect. Don't bother looking anywhere else.

This motel is ideally situated for town and Trafalgar Park. Our unit was spacious, extremely clean and quiet. The decor and finishing touches are all tasteful and they have thought of everything, even a wee fake, but realistic, lavender sprig on the toiletries. The motel owner is friendly and very helpful so you would be silly to try anywhere else in Nelson!

A most attractive complex, very modern & well maintained. Situated 200 metres from shopping on main street.Modern laundry facilities available at the most reasonable cost encountered on our trip. viz: $2.50. for Washer & same for use of dryer.Clothes line also available.Kitchen well equipped in a roomy Studio.Owners extremely helpful & friendly , giving us good info on restaurants & location of fresh fish outlet on harbour. Not the cheapest but rate Cedar Grove as one of the 3 best locations of 15 experienced on this last trip to N.Z & worth the little bit extra.Highly recommended.
