Our stay in Oamaru was for literally 12 hours, and this motel served it's purpose of providing us with a decent room for sleeping. It's clean, and no frills. The shower is tiny (probably 2 ft x 2ft), and each room has it's own small water heater....so the hot water runs out very quickly! The motel is located off the main highway, but is not centrally located in downtown Oamaru so if you want to explore Oamaru driving to and from the motel is required. Would I recommend this place to a friend? -- it depends on what they were looking for, but I personally would spend a little more money and stay elsewhere.

The room was surprisingly clean and comfortable, cosy and spacious enough for us, a family of 4 to have a good rest midway of our journey.
Equiped with everything needed in the kitchen, we cooked and enjoyed our dinner and breakfast easily as if we are at home.
Alvin & Shirleen are very knowledgeable of the interesting places around besides those well known tourist spots. They are always keen to direct you according to your interest.
More than a good night sleep, we relaxed in the comfort and warmth of a home with the kind hospitality of the hosts in a wet and cold evening of Oamaru.
We should have spent a few more days staying here if time allowed.

Oamaru? confuse what to do? No need wasting your time to find i (information centre).
All you need to do is book in this hotel and you will get additional tour guide. The host will tell you what to do there. Full information.
Room is very clean, tidy. Perfect to stay there. Very close to city area. Host is very helpfull.

The property is of older style (at least for the room we stayed) but still rated as 'live-able'. No fanciful interiors, just bare essential plus functional. The owners of the property were helpful with sightseeing.
