We had an upstairs apartment overlooking the Bay and the 800m pier. Beautiful views and lovely apartment.
We relocated to a rear apartment on the western side which still retained some sea views. this apartment was very nice.
The reason for the change was that to the east of the front apartment there is a restaurant/bar complex which has live entertainment on Fri, Sat, Sun evenings. We moved to avoid the associated noise.
Other days are absolutely fine.
Lovely walks along the beach and the whale watching marina complex is also within walking distance.

This was my second visit to Santalina and won't be my last. The top floor unit is well laid out but it's a pity the owner doesn't replace the carpet or put tiles down. Likewise for the kitchen sink. Apart from these two negatives, it is a very comfortable, fully equipped unit. This particular unit overlooks the bay. The bed is very comforatble, the bathroom could use a little TLC but good overall, laundry has everything you need, kitchen has everything but a vegetable peeler, breakfat on the balacony is sensational, nice dining area and comfortable lounge with Austar and DVD player. There is a good range of DVD's to borrow free from reception. The management and very friendly and helpful, organising two trips for us without any hassle.

Average rooms. Great location but poor service. Didn't really care about our needs!

Santalina is situated on the esplanade near the jetty which was convenient for us as we could just walk there and do a bit of fishing. We didn't catch anything but it was fun! We had the one bedroom apartment with views on the bay. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The lady at the reception is nice and helpful. There are free dvd's available and free wifi. The parking however is very small and very tight to get in and out. Overall our stay was pleasant and I would recommend this place.
