We stayed here before and after our two day trip out to Fraser Island and thought it was perfect for what we needed. The owners were helpful, you could walk to restaurants, run or walk along the beach and it wasn't far from the pier. The bus for our trip out to Fraser Island picked us up at the door. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable and we had everything we needed.

We had a deluxe bedroom with a double and single bed..very spacious, well equiped kitchenette area with hob, microwave, fridge/freezer,...small breakfast bar with stools.....Toileteries adequate, free internet access, air con as well as a ceiling fan . Iron and board folded in the wardrobe, with extra blankets, and clothes airer...For some reason ..no hairdryer....Our room off an up stairs outside balcony/corridor had minimal view of the sea...Decor clean and modern. Newly refurbished to a very high standard.....access to beach straight across the road. Seating outside every room and communal out door seating with table at the back of reception. Lovely pool with jaccuzi built in, blue taupaulin blocks passing traffic from viewing the pool and it's sunbathers...well kept and clean...laundry and smoking area available....would recommend...

This is a pretty standard motel located on the esplanade some distance from the nearest shops, restaurants etc. It is laid out as a standard country motel with a reception block (and presumably owners' residence), a one-storey block of rooms down one side and a two storey block at the back and an open space in front. There is nothing special about the ambience of the place. I didn't use the pool although it looked a bit nicer than average for a motel.

I booked the deluxe room and it was good quality inside with recent renovations. The bathroom was clean although lacked a bath. The beds had the wierdest collection of pillows of different sizes and lumpiness and weren't all that comfortable to tell the truth. The kitchen area had a microwave and two-hotplate stovetop so you could cook if you wanted to.

All in all a good quality motel inside, let down by a very pedestrian exterior look and slightly isolated location.

We started our visit to Australia in the big cities, and this was the first stop on a journey up the Queensland coast. Short taxi ride from Hervey Bay airport, but a bit away from the centre of Hervey Bay. The room was clean and well equipped for our family group of three, and the owners were particularly helpful about our needs.
