“Clean well run Resort.”

I originally booked for one night in a one bedroom apartment. I decided to stay another night but had to move to a studio unit as the resort was nearly fully booked. The Ramada rooms(both of them) were stunning. They are clean, modern and come with all facilities needed.I had an issue with the internet but thus was soon rectified by Anne on reception. Smokey Joes for dinner was an excellent choice, the food and the service was as would be expected in a four star establishment.Reception was helpful in organising taxis etc. I would stay again and reccomend this establishment.

Room Tip: I was on second floor over-looking the pool........good views and quiet

“Regular guest, at least twice a month.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I stay atRamada Hervey Bay on a regular basis, at least 2 times a month.

The rooms are always clean, I have never had issues with zircon etc. I did have an issue wih a TV that did not work and was moved to a new room straight away.

Parking can be an issue when the hotel is full, safe to park on the road.

“There are better places in Hervey Bay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

My partner and I stayed here for one night as we were visiting family in Hervey Bay.

We booked the hotel directly on their own website and secured an excellent rate of $75 per night for a room with a Queen sized bed.

However, when we arrived at check in we were asked for our 'auction i.d. and password'. When I explained that I had no idea what on earth she meant I was told that in order to be given the cheap rate I had to register online at the 'Ramada Auction Centre'. When I explained I did not want to do this and just wanted to check-in I was informed this was impossible and that the auction site username and password was essential to complete the check-in process.

As the hotel's only public computer was being used, I was forced to try and do this on my iPhone at the counter. During the 5-10 mins I fumbled through the complicated sign in page, two other couples were checked-in to the hotel. When I eventually explained that it was impossible for me to register using my iPhone I was told not to worry and was given the room key. Not the best start!

The good news is that the rooms are very modern and equipped with decent televisions and clean decor. However, the air conditioner remote control was broken and the unit itself dripped a considerable amount of condensation onto the floor throughout our stay. There was also no mini bar and no tea or coffee making facilities (at least none I could find).

Lastly, it is worth noting the sign in the bathroom that warns it may take between 5 and 10 minutes for hot water to reach the room once the taps are turned on. Bizarre.

All in all, this is a nice, clean, modern hotel with pleasant front desk staff. However, due to the issues at check-in and the hotel's relatively remote location away from the main Esplanade I would not stay here again and would recommend travelers seek alternatives when visiting this area.

Got a great deal at the ramada in a 1 bdrm suite ( could accomodate 4 if required). Room was spacious and clean, large kitchen and bathroom. Close to the wharf and the various restaraunts as well. The staff were excellent as were the meals/service in the hotel restaraunt "smokey joe's" Definitely the best value resort in Hervey bay!

Room Tip: If with kids, grab the lower level rooms with direct pool access

“Friendly, helpful and great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

Thought we'd go to Hervey Bay for a weekend, knew nothing about the place except people had told us it's better than the Gold or Sunshine Coast - less touristy. Saw the Ramada while looking for somewhere to stay and figured it looked new, quality name, might be a bit expensive but worth a look. Turned out to be amazingly great value, breakfast included with late checkout at no charge.
All staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful and not in the slightest bit intrusive, the room itself was new, clean, roomy and..........everything worked - no slightly bad shower, the linen was clean and soft, even the toilet rolls were new. In a great location, close (opposite the beach), short drive - no more than a few minutes to the main town.
Hervey Bay itself turned out to be a magic little place, everyone we met was helpful and offered great and handy info on places to see, where to eat, what to do.
The hotel just made it the perfect weekend, breakfast was great, plentiful and good coffee.

Room Tip: Ground level rooms all have direct access to the pool.
