My wife and I had a one bedroom apartment that sleeps 4 people. We had a warm welcome from Maria who showed us to our room and gave us lots of useful information about the local area including restaurants, cafes and places to visit.

The bedroom contained a queen sized bed and a single bed. Another single bed was in the lounge.

There is a good restaurant just a short walk away but you will need to drive to town for other options.

There was a walk-in shower and hand basin separated from the main room by a door. The toilet was separated from the shower area by another door. Unusually the shower pressure and temperature is controlled by single lever which is rotated clockwise. The pressure is good, however it is necessary to rotate the lever through the cold water sequence when switching the shower on or off.

There was very little storage space which did not affect us as our stay was short and we did not want to unpack. There was a hanging rail in the bedroom in place of a wardrobe.

The room was clean and the decor was good.

The motel has a guest laundry which was well equipped and also well used when we were staying there.

We would probably stay there again if we were in the area for a couple of days.

Assure is well situated close to town centre and local supermarket. Check-in was quick and efficient. There is a library and DVD collection. Beds were very comfortable, the place was very clean and well equipped. Play area for children and a few flower beds make it a nice place to stop if you are travelling down the west coast. Laundry facilities and a huge television! Would have appreciated free wifi, as most other motels seem to offer that these days.

We stayed here for a needed break from camping during our two week hiking trip through NZ.

We appreciated the facilities to wash and dry our stinky clothes and found the lady at reception to be friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. Our one bedroom suite could sleep four - and we found it great value for the two of us!

The room was warm, the TV was used, and the kitchen facilities more than adequate.

It is a bit out of town, but I enjoyed the walk into town and back to buy some supplies in the morning and felt like I'd done my exercise for the day and could relax! We drove into town for dinner - it only takes a few minutes!

The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. However this accommodation is too far out of Greymouth to walk to a restaurant and I felt that the room hadn't been aired properly. My wife though, who normally senses these things more than me, did not seem to be affected. They were very busy because of a sad event which brought people to the town, so this might have been a one off.
