In Feb. 2010 we arrived at Aachen Place Motel midway through our trip and were all tired. Instead of finding just another motel, we found hosts who treated us like family, and at that time it was just what we needed. Janine`s hospitality was beyond the call of duty and helped with our washing so that we could go and investigate Greymouth. We will never forget our stay there thanks to her.The motel itself was spotless, comfortable and very affordable. Doug and Carol Mair

We stayed at this property for 2 night's in a studio unit with a queen bed for a very reasonable price.
The studio was clean, spacious and all in working order, just what a traveller is looking for. I was especially impressed by the fresh smell of the bed linen, something I very much appreciate and love.
Fact is I would come back anytime and warmly recommend this place.

We stayed at Aachen Place in January. Our upstairs apartment (2 bedroom) had obviously been refurbished, it was modern, clean and comfortable. There was ample room to move about, store luggage and use the kitchenette. Little touches, like chocolates on the bed, were well received! Beds were very comfortable. The hosts were lovely and accommodating. Would stay in the 2 bedroom apartment again.

Out of all the places we stayed during our 2 week holiday in the South Island this was the nicest, cleanest, friendliest Motel by far. I would not hesitate to recommend this Motel to anybody wishing to stay in that part of New Zealand.
