We toured with Sieg. He was excited to show us some less than well known wineries. He listened to our completely conflicting list of "wants" from the tour and still managed to go above and beyond. It was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. He connected us with a winery that would ship a mixed case of wine (from different wineries) for us, gave great restaurant suggestions, and brought us to an amazing bakery (that only the locals know about) where we bought bread to accompany the olive oil we purchased. Sieg truly loves what he does and it shows! At no point was there pressure to move on to the next winery or pressure to buy.

My dad, sister and myself attended a wine tour with "taste of the south" today. I did book the tour because they noted they offer tours in German and as my dad and sister were visiting me from Germany I thought this was the perfect wine tour, which it was. The communication prior to the tour was very good. We did get picked up on time and in a new, air conditioned van. Zig the owner and our tour guide actually had the day off, but because he is also German and was looking forward to having some German guest to talk to, decided to drive us especially. We went to five "beautiful" wineries had a great lunch at Flutes Restaurant and visited the olive oil factory and he even drove us to a local bakery to get some freshly baked German bread.
Zig was very accommodating and his local knowledge with the vineyards is great. He has a great relationship with the staff and owners from the different vineyards. We had such a
memorable day and my family and I will recommend the tours to any of my friends in Australia and Germany. Vielen Dank Siegbert und Sabine

My partner and I had never been on a proper winery tour before, but this one exceeded our expectations.
We were picked up from our accommodation promptly in a very clean and comfortable air conditioned van by our lovely guide, Zig. We did the tour on a Wednesday, and would definitely recommend doing a tour mid-week to avoid large crowds at the wineries.
My partner enjoys red and I, white. But this wasn't a problem and by the end of the tour we both developed an appreciation for both red and whites...and fortified wines.
The tour was very personal and we loved each and every winery we visited.
Zig had a great rapport with the staff at each winery and we were introduced to some colourful characters along the way.
We never felt rushed to finish up and move onto the next place, which made the experience very enjoyable and relaxing. Zig did a great job of letting us experience each winery independently, and was ready to take us to the next destination with much enthusiasm. It is obvious that Zig is passionate about his job as a guide and this really strengthened the quality of customer service that we recieved. He was always keen to hear our feedback too.
Zig shared with us some other personal recommendations and offered for us to get in contact if we needed any info.
One small criticism is that lunch was more of a snack, but what we did have was fresh and delicious.
Overall, we had a fantastic, personal experience with Taste of the South Wine Tours and we will be recommending it to anyone who travels to the Margaret River wine region.
Next time we head that way, we will be booking ourselves another tour for sure!
