“Gorgeous location, confused menu”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

gorgeous location with a slightly alternative, sea-side shack feel to it. Nice coffee and friendly, prompt service.
I had the french cheese on toast over a pear and walnut salad. Separently, the two things tasted delicious - but as they were served all mixed together on the plate that's how i ate it and it really didn't belong together.
My colleague had a juice of the day and prawn salad and loved them.

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry you did not like the salad. This is a classic french style salad, that our chef learnt and served whilst training with Guy Savoy and Alain Ducaisse, both 3 star Michelin chefs. So whilst you may think we are confused, we are most certainly not, we are firmly based in our French roots with a quirky cheeky Australian influence.
But we will take your feedback on board when we change our menu.
Thank you,

“Fabulous, spoil yourself and visit the Sea Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2012

On our recent visit in January this year 2012 to visit our daughter and family in Perth, we took a few days break in Margaret River. One of our must do’s whilst in the area was to visit the well known Sea Gardens Restaurant in Prevelly.

Our daughter who honeymooned in Margaret River has told us and others many times that the breakfast’s at the Sea Gardens are awesome, we agree with her.

Sadly there has been a lot of fire damage in the area, but some benefit for the Sea Gardens has actuality arisen out of the fires. Due to the raised position on the hill side, the expansive view of the coastline has actually improved since our first visit in 2010. The fires having trimmed back the trees. This year we visited the restaurant for dinner and weren't disappointed, the lamb cutlets which were accompanied by an unusual salad consisting of water melon, rocket, and creamy feta cheese was delicious and refreshing, especially at the end of a very hot day. With the sun setting, good food, wine and a friendly casual atmosphere, the Sea Gardens added to the romance of the area. Leaving with happy memories, we shall definitely visit the Sea Gardens again on our next visit to see our family and Margaret River.

Thank you for your warm feedback, especially in light of the tough times we have been having with the bush fires. We agree, our views have opened up enormously now - a positive side effect for us and our guests! we are glad that you like our more quirky dishes and are thrilled with your feedback. As always we have passed on your words to the rest of the team here at Seadies and look forward to your return to our still very gorgeous little corner of the world!
Warm regards,
Rachel England-Brassy

“Absolutely Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We have frequented your restaurant on a regular basis over the past 3 years, since we moved to the region. Sunday is generally the day a group of friends from Busselton venture out into the wider region to try something new. Unfortunately for other restaurants, yours is a regular!! The food is always fantastic, the serves are a decent size (none of the big plate/little food scenarios here), the staff are friendly and the drinks are always appropriately hot or cold (as they should be). It's a great venue to take the family, or just to go with a group of friends. Sea Gardens offers a laid-back style, and views that are to die for.
We will see you soon!!

“Great ambience, service and top food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Sea Gardens is just that - a beautiful view of the sea whilst sitting in the shade of beautiful peppermint trees (or you can sit inside if you prefer - still with the great view). The staff are happy and helpful. The food is well presented, tasty and varied. The ambience is relaxing and laid back but the professionalism is very much there.

“Absolutely vulgar.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

17/1/12. Ate at Seagardens for lunch today, when the food finely came out to us, being a chef , I couldn't believe that the "chef" could serve a plate of raw, extremely poor quality, prawns still with the vein and poo sack in... On what the menu said " vietnamese" salad.... Yeah right, the menu would have been more accurate in saying served on a sandy, gritty, wilted pile of old lettuce with one whole stalk of mint and chunks of capsicum, seriously Sea Gardens. WTF...

Dear BJD88,
I am sorry. This has never happened before and will not happen again. We served many Vietnamese Salads yesterday to happy customers; so your mess of a dish was a one off.
You were not charged for the meal, obviously, and our staff apologised sincerely. You were also offered another meal on the house, which you refused.
Once again I am sincerely sorry,
Rachel
