“Great knowledge and local insider info”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2012

We managed inadvertently bag a private half day tour with Adam the boss man of Margaret River Tours.
Adams local knowledge, love of all things wine related and evident excellent relationships with the hosts at all the vineyards visited made for a very enjoyable afternoon. We'll definitely be bringing all our visitors down to MR and will insist on Margaret River Tours for all future visits.

Thanks Adam for a great afternoon, Carol and Oliver.

“Great company and tour”

I was in Margaret River for a couple of days by myself and thought I'd do a tour to check out the area. I am not usually a "tour" traveller but I really enjoyed the full day trip. The guide, Chris, picked me up from my hotel at prevelly right on time and was very friendly. The was very fast paced but never felt rushed. Lunch was amazing, and my favourite winery was Stella Bella.

“Perfectly tailored wine tour for our group!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

With so many companies doing tours of Margaret River now, I was really unsure of which company to go with. I'm actually really glad the first couple of companies I tried were fully booked because the day could not have worked out any better!

We had a group of seven people looking to do a private tour. Adam, the owner of Margaret River Tours, patiently answered all my emails in the month preceeding the tour as we worked on itinerary. He had some great suggestions and our favourite wineries - Woodlands and Gralyns - were his recommendation. Once our itinerary was set, Adam rang each of the wineries in advance to make sure they were ready for us. Adam was even accommodating when I rang a week in advance to change the date! Despite being flat out he cancelled all our bookings and rescheduled them for the next day.

We picked one of the hottest days on record in Margaret River to do our tour and Adam was happy to let us on the (air conditioned) bus with a pretty big esky full of waters (and a few beers...). When he worked out that we weren't wine conossieurs he tailored his commentary to give us a bit of info about the margaret river wine region and whenever there was a lull in our sometimes quite enthusiastic conversation, Adam delighted us with some stories of the locals and living in Margaret River.

Lunch at the Bootleg Brewery was great. Adam had printed off the menu in advance for us so we could decide what we wanted and order as soon as we arrived (because it can get quite busy). And because we finished up a bit early at our last winery, Adam even detoured past the Margaret River cheese factory for us so we could stock up on supplies for when we got home.

All in all a great day. When we got home the seven of us agreed we could have easily ended up with a grumpy tour guide who wouldn't let a few drinks on the bus, who didn't bother to swing past the cheese shop, and who didn't have any good stories to tell us. But we didn't! My boyfriend and I have even decided to give the group tour a go next time we are down there. Thanks Adam!

“Great tour”

Booked a private tour with Adam. He arrived on time to collect us and took great effort to learn our names. His 4x4 was clean and comfortable. We told him the wineries we wanted to visit and he worked out the most efficient route so that we could maximise our time. on the way to each vineyard he told us a bit about each place. He has great knowledge not only of the industry but of the whole town. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting to visit 'Margy'. Great day all round.

“Couldn't have been better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

I live in NYC and have traveled to the east coast of Australia many times. On my first visit, people in Sydney told me of the Margaret River and its boutique wines. For 10 years I struggle to find them in the shops and restaurants of NYC. Naturally, being a fan of the wines I one day had to visit Margaret River, drink the wines and learn as much as I can to better my chances of finding the great wines in the U.S. I went on the full day wine tour that took us to great vineyards like Leeuwin and Moss brothers and the great lunch at Voyager Estate. The vineyards and tasting rooms are set among magical settings of tall eucalyptus trees and gorgeous coastlines. Margaret River tours outside itself with access to the premier vineyards and the driver/tour operator Andrew's great knowledge of the region, not to mention he made the trip memorable and fun from start to finish. My only regret is that the tour was a 1-day tour and not a 3-day tour. The area and its people and or course the tour operator made this a very very memorable tour experience. Pat from NYC
