“Passion for hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We stayed 4 nights at Llewellin's at the end of October 2011 and we had two rooms booked. We loved it! It was not only the great location of the guesthouse, the nice and big garden, the complementary bottle of wine, the spotless clean rooms, the stylish, luxury and quality furnishing, the DVD selection and TV flat screen – there was more.

You see and feel the passion for hospitality in whatever Joanna and James are doing, which makes you feel good and special. Listen to James when he is talking about food (and wine) and you immediately get excited and can’t wait until next morning when he is preparing his gourmet breakfast (best muffins we have ever tasted).

We used the complementary evening drop off into Margaret River and Joanna and James gave us good tips for restaurants in town. James even came with us into the bottle shop to guide us through the great wines they are offering in Margaret River.

We experienced James’ passion for wine when we booked a wine tour with him and weren’t disappointed. He took us to a private wine tasting to one of his friends and we had a wonderful time there tasting the wine and listening to the information and stories the winemaker told us.

Even on the evening we decided to stay at the guest house and to use the nice veranda to prepare our own snack consisting of bread, cold cuts and cheese, Joanna and James made sure that we had everything we needed.

The Margaret River region is a beauty spot and staying there with Joanna and James at Llewellin's is the cherry on the cake.

We stayed at Llewellin's for three days for our Honeymoon in Jan and it was Amazing! On arrival we were welcomed by Joanna and little Lilly and were shown to our room. We stayed in the spa room which was roomy, beautiful decor and spotlessly clean - there was also a candle burning which was so lovely! They had also put a bottle of bubbly on ice for us! James cooked breakfast for us each morning - which is the best breakfast we have ever had!!! fresh fruit, muffins, toast and then your choice of eggs- so yummy!! Would also highly recommend James' wine tour! James and Joanna have it spot on - everything about this place is amazing - we cannot wait to come back!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Spa room - would highly recommend, but I know each of the rooms are lovely!

“It's like staying with good friends”

On arrival, My wife and i were welcomed on the front porch by Joanna and James. In my opinion, the perfect hosts. They pay attention to the details that make a B&B special. From sharing a very special private stash of Port wine to making sure my wife had the right cookies for her morning coffee. Stay here and you'll be glad you did.

The B&B is made of 3 rooms in a ranch style house, all 3 rooms sharing a veranda facing towards the ocean. Our room (the spa room) is good size with a large en suite. Stylish decor and a very comfortable bed. Decent TV and internet connectivity. No A/C but not as big an issue as I expected. Although in the dead of summer; with the ocean breeze and ceiling fan, it was pleasant in the evenings. Perfect location, about half way between Margaret River and the beaches. Easily accessible but still secluded with only a faint sound of the surf in the distance and the local wildlife chirping and clicking. It has been a long time since I have slept so soundly. James is a great cook, you're going to love his breakfast menu. All fresh and local ingredients perfectly prepared.

We took away some good memories. Sitting on the veranda in the evenings with our drinks watching the birds feed. Feeding the stub tail lizard strawberries for breakfast. And some good conversations at breakfast with the hosts and other guests. Even as we were driving home, my wife and i were planning our next visit to Llewellins in the spring time.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in jan and found it to be the most perfect b&b era e ever stayed in! The rooms are luxuriously appointed and were extremely comfortable and there is nothing like getting up in the morning to the sounds of the bush and the idealic setting. Joanna and James are the perfect hosts and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome, even giving us a lift into town on both nights we were with them. And then there were the breakfasts! I James ever decided to open a cafe we would be there every weekend to eat his food! It is just amazing ESP the truffle scrambled eggs! Could not reccommed highly enough!

“More a boutique hotel than b&b!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Hands down best breckfast we have had from a hotel, if these guys owned a cafe we would be there every weekend ordering cakes, omelettes and truffled eggs!

The room was quiet, spotlessly clean and had a new comfortable bed and modern bathroom with wet room shower. DVD selections, wine and filter coffee come complimentary, with resort style Bali music playing in communal areas.

Although too far from town to walk, taxis are 20$ and we were even given a lift into town both nights!

Genuinely nice people running this b&b who have clearly travelled to expensive hotels of the world make this a perfect package!
