“Great value for money - much better than we expected”

MY husband and I stayed here for 4 nights between Christmas and NYE 2011. Paid $160 a night for a basic room which was more than usual due to being high season. Even for that price we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the motel (we generally star at 4 or 5 star hotels but were stuck for choice due to it being a busy time).

The motel is located a short drive or perhaps 20 min walk to Liebig St, which is where all the shopping and restaurants are. We prefer to stay a bit away from the hustle and bustle so the location suited us perfectly. The exterior of the motel is pretty standard and underwhelming but the rooms are fabulous - newly renovated and really modern/clean/spacious. Room has a tv, small mini-bar (no alcohol), table and chairs, desk, wardrobe. Tea and coffee-making facilities and provided and a toaster, but bizarrely no plates or knives. Room service was great - no complaints. Owners were welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend this place if you want a lovely "no frills" place to stay in Warnambool at a fabulous price.

“Enjoyable stay”

While passing through on our way to Mt Gambier etc we decided to stay overnight in Warrnambool. We chose Comfort Inn on Raglan for its convienient location and friendly helpful Hosts. Our room was large, modern, clean and comfortable with an excellant shower. Would not hesitate to stay there again, also recommend to family and friends

“Great Room”

We only stayed overnight, but we found the room to be fabulous for the two of us. Very modern, clean and comfortable. The managers were extremely helpful with directions and suggestions on what to see and do and great places to eat. My only disappointment was there was no free WiFi, with the price you pay for a room I think this should be included in the room price. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

“we cannot join the chorus of praise”

On our way on the Great Ocean Road we passed through Warrnambool and decided to stay at the Comfort Inn On Raglan since the reviews were so great. However, unfortunately we cannot join the chorus of praise.

While it is true that the bathrooms are relatively newly refurbished this is not true for the - more important - bedrooms. The interior is outdated with its wooden panels and it has the charm of a late 70ies, early 80ies midwestern motel. Our room on the lower level smelled moist - however, it had not rained the last few days before our arrival. The AC/Heater-Unit blew out very bad smelling air so we decided to shiver in the cold. On the next day, we wanted to drink a tea prior to our departure and found a column of ants wandering in and out of the water heater.

Unfortunately, our experience only adds up to 2/5 points.

“Awesome host! awesome place!”

My friends and I had driven all day from Apollo's Bay and were cold, tired and hungry. Janine greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel like we had come home,. She recommended us a great place for dinner at the end of a long drive, gave me beautiful scenic locations to shoot my music video, which I never would have found if not for her.

The room was so good and beyond anything I expected. There's always hot water no matter how long you take to shower. Everything was so clean and spacious. I wish I could have stayed longer.

If you are ever in Warrnambool, I recommend Comfort Inn on Raglan highly!!
