I travelled to Launceston in November 2011 and stayed at Kilmarnock House for 3 nights which I chose because being addicted to all things old and as the reason for my visit to Tasmania was to see heritage buildings and gardens, this seemed the ideal place to begin - I wasn't disappointed. For those who like all things modern and soul-less then this isn't the place for you! However, if you appreciate history, this is a beautiful heritage home which has been restored and tastefully decorated sympathetically to the period when it was built whilst discretely incorporating modern amenities. Libby the owner is a lovely lady and most helpful. I had a very comfy stay, everything was very clean. I hope to stay here again when I next visit Launceston.More
