For its location this hotel really is second to none but it's starting to show its age (we stayed in it 3 years ago) and needs redecoration ie the bathrooms are tired and could do with a revamp. However, the breakfast is still very good and the 20 mins free internet is handy although I really think in this day and age it should be free internet throughout, or at least 60 mins per day.
I was also annoyed that you had to pay to park your hire car and I was given misinformation at the check in desk which led to me having to pay $20 dollars instead of $10.

As you have said the location is second to none in Queenstown and we are very proud of the products and services that we offer.
We acknowledge your comments about the rooms - these were upgraded in 2007 and an additional 69 rooms were added to the hotel with another floor - these rooms are more modern and offer air conditioning and other features that are not yet available in the other rooms. The bathrooms in the standard rooms wree also not upgraded last time but are under review at the moment as is the provision of air conditioning.
The hotel has just installed upgraded WIFI to all rooms to be able to provide internet for tablets and other such devices. There is free internet in the lobby for a limited down load and 20 minutes free on two Mac Stations in the lobby. We do continually review our offering and try to keep up with demand while also having to manage the limited and at times expensive options available in NZ at the moment.
We are sorry if you got the wrong information about parking - there are at least three options available from a valet service, to self park in a local carpark to free parking on the streets around the Hotel - some of which have parking metres but others that do not.
It was good to hear that on the whole you enjoyed staying with us and we do hope that it will not be another 3 years before you get to visit again.
