Had a very good experience with Autoline Motel. We travelled with family members who had arrived from overseas and the Autoline was a perfect choice for us as we didn't want to spend a fortune on the accommodation -Queenstown can be pricey if you want to stay near the town centre but not in a backpackers. The motel is less than 10 minutes by foot from downtown Queenstown, comfortably close but away from the bustle. The motel is clean, modern and very well equipped. We stayed in a unit with 2 rooms (both rooms had a bathroom of their own), with a queen bed in the living room and single beds in the bedroom, and the configuration worked well for 4 adults even though the rooms are not massive. I particularly liked the fact that the Autoline has double glazing and heat pumps in every room (not the standard in NZ) as the weather turned quite bad towards the end of our stay. Double glazing also blocks out any traffic noise, so although the motel is close to a major road, there was no noise problem. The kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking, and the downtown restaurants are only a short stroll away. The only negative aspect is that the motel doesn't have that much parking space, but luckily during our stay we were able to find a space every time. Overall a very good price/quality ratio for Queenstown.
