We recently spent 4 nights at The Dairy, and absolutely love it. Matt and Paul made us feel very welcome during our stay, they were both very helpful and informative in everything that we asked of them. On our arrival they had a bottle of Pinot Noir and chocolates waiting for us, plus they bed and pillows are the most comfortable we have had anywhere. They make the most amazing breakfast every morning, from pancakes to your favourite eggs and omelettes. They booked the best seats in restaurants for us and can also book tours for you. The Dairy is in a great position for walking into Queenstown and to Lake Wakatipu. Matt and Paul are great hosts and we would highly recommend anyone to stay at their hotel. Julie & Les Melbourne

Our two night stay at the Dairy Private Luxury Hotel was the perfect ending to a wonderful time spent on the south island of New Zealand

My wife and I knew we were going to like this place as soon as we walked in and saw a giant jar of jelly beans with a scoop sitting on a table beside the door., We were not disappointed. Our experience at the hotel was as terrific as those of the other reviewers on this site.

Everything about the design and decor of this place is luxurious, tasteful, comfortable, and warm. The attention to detail is both comforting and pleasing... Every space, inside and outside is comfortable and is conducive to socializing, but if you're not interested in that sort of thing, there are plenty of places for seclusion.

This hotel would be great anywhere, but that it is Queenstown makes it even more special. Although it just block and a set of stairs from the high-energy center of the city, it is a quiet retreat from all of the excitement. Our room (#9) had a beautiful view of the Remarkables (Tha'ts the name of the mountain range that embraces Queenstown)

The talents, generosity of spirit, and authentic warmth of Paul and Matt are infused into every aspect of the DPLH experience and they are truly what make this place so special. Without them it would not be the same.

P.S. I forgot to mention the food. The breakfasts and teas are fantastic, as others have suggested. Matt's omlettes, pancakes, and Eggs Benedict are works of art, as are his cookies and pastries.

From the moment we entered the Dairy we felt at home. The warmth in the atmosphere is only topped by the amazing genuine hospitality extended by Paul & Matt... They anticipated everything we could need from restaurants, tours, to art. My only regret is that the Dairy is so far away from San Francisco - else we would be regular guests. Queenstown is amazing and we will definitely return AND stay at the Dairy - thank you for making our holiday!! PS - the made to order breakfasts - especially the eggs benedict - are mouth watering!

We recently spend 3 nights at The Dairy and fell in love with it, and with Queenstown – we wish we could have stayed longer.
The hotel is small and intimate – very much a home from home (if you are lucky enough to have such a beautiful home).
Paul & Matt made us feel very welcome and spoilt us with all their thoughtful touches.
The log fires, afternoon tea, delicious cooked breakfast, comfy big beds, toasty hot tub with stunning mountain views, and the surprise wine & chocolate in our room all combined to make our stay feel very luxurious & special.
The Dairy is in a fantastic location for exploring Queenstown, within easy walking distance off the Lake, Gondola, Bars & some fantastic Restaurants – Paul & Matt were good enough to recommend some wonderful ones.
The Dairy definitely lived up to all the fabulous reviews here on tripadvisor and deserves to be number 1. We are already planning a trip back in the ski season and it cannot come soon enough.
