“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Stayed for 3 nights in january. The room rate was very good at $135 per night. Plus we got 2 drink vouchers each per night.
It is a short walk into town, which meant we did not have to try and find a carpark in town.
The room was a standard room, but their was a large stain on the bedspread.
Overall we would stay there again, if we could get the cheap rate again

“This hotel does nothing badly or really well.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

You won't go far wrong with this hotel but there isn't much that is memorable either.

“Bit tired but good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Good location but no views. About 8 minutes walk to town. Have stayed in much better in Queenstown but often stay here for business travels due to location. Easy parking and no steep drive when its snowing which is often the case with others. Tired inside but clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: all much the same

Many thanks for your review on Tripadvisor Brendan. I am just writing to let you know that we have a soft refurbishment of all 220 rooms planned for 2012, which will include beds and drapes. It is our hope that when this work is completed, it will give the rooms a lift, and make our guests' stays more comfortable. I look forward to welcoming you back on your business travels soon, and my thanks again for your comments.

“Very Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We, as a couple stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel while only 5 floors so without a lake view was very pleasant and the service was good when we asked for it. We were able to check in several hours before the designated time and with only a short downhill walk into the town we were out for the rest of the first day. However, on our return we discovered the air conditioning did not work, and the large flat screen TV was unable to be adjusted as necessary. When we asked at reception we were told we would have to wait until morning as all the appropriate people had finished for the day. The next afternoon we came across someone attempting (unsuccessfully) to fix our problems. Thanks to a phone call from him we were transferred to a superior room for the rest of our stay.
We did not eat at the hotel as the prices were high, but we did appreciate the hourly shuttle from town up the hill to the hotel and the free 20mins of wifi each day, also the tea making facilities.

Thank you for your review. I apologise that you had issues with the aircon and television, and had to transfer rooms as a result. I will be meeting with our Chief Engineer this week to determine the nature of the faults in your room. I am aware that the air conditioning system is being systematically looked at on a room by room basis, and that this work has been going on for some months as part of our planned preventative maintenance programme. Regardless, I will ensure that the aircon in your original room is fixed, and the TV looked at as well.
My thanks for your comments, and my hope that this did not inconvenience you too much during your stay with us.

“Spend your dollars elsewhere...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

Having lived in Queenstown for several years I wanted to take my partner for a visit. Although the Millenium is central in location (a short walk up the hill from town) it was expensive. The staff were friendly but disorganised.
We requested a rollaway bed for the first night if 3 and asked it be removed the next day only to have someone come to our room at 10pm the next night once we were in bed and insisted on taking it then.
The televsion did not work on the last night. Staff did not volunteer information that the hotel had a shuttle that went to town every hour, although they did ring a cab for us when the shuttle was also about to leave for the same destination.
Paying for onsite parking is fine although one would expect to actually receive a park. Not the case. No park on final night and no security in garage as the doors were left open/faulty.
There are so many other nice places in Queenstown to stay now....

Thank you for your review, which I have just read with a high degree of disappointment . I apologise that we were not better organised over the busy Christmas and New Year period. I am not going to make any excuses, but assure you that I will be addressing the points that you raised with my management team to ensure that as a business, we address our shortcomings.
Again, my thanks for your feeback.
