I had prejudice about motels, but Mantra Marina proved that this type of accommodation can be five star. We stayed in a so called hotel room, which is in fact a self contained unit within a bigger apartment. We were lucky to get a corner room at the end of the block so we had a side view of the lake and the mountains. For one night stay it was good, however if you plan to stay longer go for an apartment, it's a wow! They forgot to lock the door between our room and the apartment so when we arrived we by mistake ventured into the apartment : the apartment has a spacious open plan lounge/ kitchen, decorated and equipped to the high modern standards. Floor to ceiling windows provide a stunning view of the water and mountains beyond, there is an excess to a good size balcony from the room. The bedroom faces the lake as well - absolutely gorgeous.
The only minus, the walls between the apartment and the hotel room are very thin so we could hear every movenment of our neighbours when they arrived later.
Location is excellent for the airport, only two minutes drive, a bit out of town but it wasn't a problem for us. Also we were spoilt for choice of petrol stations. Food shopping is available nearby.
